This Ryokan is in need of major repairs. Air conditioner is broken Bath is dirty with hair stuck in drain. Not good value for the money we spent

Very nice traditional furniture, towels and shower products included as well as a little welcome drink. Very friendly staff!

It should be a bit cleaner. There were some dead insects and one waste bin was not emptied.

spacious and attractive room

no hot water in hand basin or bath. cold water trickle only. shower hot water becomes cold then back to hot. shower spray sharp and painful. almost impossible to shower.

excellent location and nice property. well-decorated and comfortable. we felt happy to stay there and slept well. even with the hilly nature of Hakone, this place is walkable to useful bus stops, restaurants, and stores, even the Open Air Museum if you don’t mind 1 mile uphill.

foam futon and pillow not completely clean everywhere, dirt accumulation in tight spaces like light switches, plumbing fixtures one shower shared among all rooms, in a beautiful old bath that clearly used to many people at once, and which could again if it were restored (probably an expensive renovation though). hot water system needs an upgrade, shower temperature required frequent adjustment. air conditioner remote was difficult to figure out but it was a great night to open the windows and enjoy cool breezes.

The most beautiful japanese style room and a wonderful owner! We loved it

- it’s a regular Japanese style room. Futons were fine. There was a big bath.

- we got there and there was no toilet paper - the toilet didn’t flush - it took very long to get the room warm - there was supposed to be free wifi but it didn’t work - we called the number that was written to call if there were any problems and she (I think is the owner?) was not very helpful. It took three phone calls, luck (she was Chinese and I was with someone that spoke Chinese) and pushing to get what we needed. Even then, we were left having to use the toilet of the room upstairs, and the wifi was only given to us the next morning. - do not recommend

Front desk is rarely attended. There is no internet in the room nor the counter area. Power switched off automatically if you use the heater and the kettle at the same time.
