Great location close to Nijo Station, making exploring Kyoto easy. Staff where lovely and helpful. Accommodation itself was great - combination of traditional and modern styles with lots of space in all rooms and we loved the wet-room and large bath! Full kitchen with ample cutlery, glasses, dishes and stove/oven/microwave for eating in. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in Kyoto!

The staircase felt narrow and steep, but assume this is the traditional style.

"If you’re looking for a place to stay in Kyoto you won’t find a better one."

The bath was great and the staff was extremely friendly. She also explained how all the appliances worked and good places to eat.

Don’t overload the washer. Otherwise the whole place is fabulous.
