Travellers Beach Hotel & SPA

Hospitality is about making guests feel welcome and safe. Unfortunately, this hotel achieved the opposite When my sister briefly visited me in my hotel room (she had come to have dinner with me), security called to say she had not registered at the desk. I calmly explained that we were just about to come up together to register and go out for dinner. Despite this, a staff member named Celestine, accompanied by another male staff member, came up to my room which I later learned was completely inappropriate and against hotel protocol. Celestine was very aggressive, insisting that my guest must sign and pay to enter my room and repeatedly saying guests should not be allowed at all. I explained again that we were leaving immediately, but her tone and behavior were confrontational and unacceptable. I eventually asked her to leave and decided to resolve the matter with management instead. To their credit, the hotel manager apologised profusely, acknowledged that Celestine had overstepped her mandate, and confirmed she should never have come to the room. While I appreciated the apology, the incident had already left us shaken and uncomfortable. Unfortunately, the poor service continued later that evening at the restaurant. When I asked for a menu, one waitress rudely said, “We don’t serve à la carte here, go downstairs,” which turned out to be completely false. Another waiter later confirmed à la carte was available and brought a menu. After stepping away briefly to speak to colleagues, the waiter disappeared entirely. Another waiter then brought me an Indian menu I did not request. When I politely declined and said I hadn’t asked for it, he took it away and never returned. I waited for nearly two hours without service. When I later attempted to give feedback at reception, the hostess on duty was dismissive and uninterested. Only another waitress showed basic courtesy and arranged for a manager to come speak with me. Due to the repeated rudeness, lack of professionalism, and feeling unwelcome throughout my stay, I cancelled my booking early and checked out sooner than planned. This is by far one of the worst hotel experiences I have had, mainly due to staff behavior. I would not recommend this hotel unless significant improvements are made in staff training, guest handling, and basic hospitality.

We are really impressed 👏, we had great time at travellers beach ,hotel and spa away from kids lady Tekla took care of my kid so well which let me to enjoyed in adults activities. The evening shows topnotch animation team is credible

Wonderful staff, great meals to sample and the location next to clean beach ⛱️. ENJOYED MY STAY. If you need additional information is readily available. The Hall were amazing with modern technology equipments.

Access to small souvenir shop via gate next door denied, had to go around very busy and dangerous road works to get there, extremely dangerous!

As January sips in with its slogan of “njaanuary” i chose to walk in to Travellers Beach Resort and Spa - particularly Uzima spa ….,i was met by the amazing team - Sharon who gladly welcomed me with a cold glass of orange juice , when i waa ushered to the serene massage room. Oh! I met Alice - magical gifted hands - she deserves all the flowers for her professionalism and passion . Her hands did not shy from the hot stones therapy …….. am Done typing just make your way to the resort and find ALICE !💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐

Loved this hotel, the food was amazing at breakfast and dinner every night accompanied by very welcoming and friendly staff creating a lovely atmosphere! Rooms were spacious and clean. A number of great swimming pools located near the beach, including a great animation team, especially Vivian Vuguza on the animation team who brightened our stay with her amazing personality, games and more fun activities.
