Sky Palace Beach Hotel

Sky Palace is a fantastic place to stay. Both Wilfred and Christopher, and all of the other guys, who worked there were great. They all went out their way to make us feel at home and to help us with our every need. We were travelling with our two-year-old son. This can sometimes be challenging, but Wilfred and Christopher made sure that it was as easy as possible, they were both great with him. It is now a week later and our son is still asking about where Christopher is and if we can go and see him. If you want to travel to see local sights or travel a bit further; for example to Kanyakumari they will be able to organise a car at a very good price with a driver, who is friendly, safe and helpful. The room was spacious with a comfortable bed, Aircon that worked very well keeping the room cool when needed and a large bathroom. We didn’t have any problems with power cuts that sometimes are an issue in other hotels. The seating area outside the room with a small table was perfect for us to relax at when our son was asleep, sometimes eat food at, or to just discuss our plans for the next day. They took care of all our laundry and provided teas, coffee or food when we wanted it. Christopher drove us to all local areas in their Tuktuk at a very cheap prices, so we didn’t have to worry about what we were paying or walking down to the Tuktuk car park. He also recommended a fantastic local restaurant where you can eat Keralan Thali directly off the banana leaf which was some of the best food we have eaten in India at the lowest prices. The hotel is less than a minute walk to the beach and but a few moments from many good quality, restaurants and shops. When you want to get away from the commercial nature of the beachfront. You only have to walk a few minutes to the next set of beachs which have street food shacks . The price of the hotel is very competitive.

I only needed a room for a day in between flights, and the team were so generous about letting me check in early (especially when I arrived even earlier than I had told them), and organised an auto for me to get to the airport late in the evening. The location is great, just a few steps away from the beach and many restaurants, and the room was a very comfortable place to sleep and rest for the day.

Wilfred and Christian were very communicative and super helpful. It was great to chat with them and they also gave us some good recommendations for local places. Christian drove me to the train station in his scooter and that was very helpful. Would recommend!

very nice host. a friendly place. The host met up when arriving in Kovalam in the middle of the night. He was always caring for his guests. Good air conditioning if you like that. comfortable bed. Slept well. not noisy even though close to beach.
