"Superb"

Perfect location to walk the Yorkshire 3 peaks. You can park and start walking from the pub. Furnishings dated, but very clean and a comfortable bed after a challenge walking. Friendly, welcoming staff.

Everything was perfect for our requirements.

a lovely hot bath.

We arrived off the Pennine Way very wet and cold , the place was very bare, cold and unwelcoming, felt like owner resented us and other drinkers who we chatted to , being there, It was all very basic which was OK but not @ £130! I was still cold in the morning but was refused a cup of hot milk with the cold breafast. Such a shame for friendly ,walkers coming into a beautiful village.

"Great pub in beautiful Yorkshire"

Nice pub in a cute little town in Yorkshire. Room was clean and nice. Food was excellent.

The entire place smelled like old fish & chips. We had to sit around waiting to check in because no one was at the property until well after check-in time. No Wi-Fi. None of those are "deal killers." This was still a great place to stay in Yorkshire.

Staff were very accommodating and the bed was comfortable- exactly what was needed after a day hill walking
