We had an amazing stay here and will definitely be back again! Daniel the owner was extremely helpful and was there whenever we needed anything or had any questions on local activities or restaurant recommendations. The sauna and pool were very clean and nice after a long days hiking. The continental breakfast every morning was simple but did the job and the views looking out over the town made up for it.

Garni La Tambre met all of our expectations and then some! The property is in the very best area of Selva and provides excellent access to multiple lifts within easy walking distance to enable a skier to access both sides of the valley quickly and efficiently. The property is a short walk uphill from the town centre. Don't let the elevation dissuade you from staying here. The views from the property are well worth the short walk. The owners, Daniel and his father Oscar, were extremely attentive and they are unbelievable hosts. Daniel pays very close attention to his guests and is always there to help give guidance, directions and recommendations to enhance your vacation. The breakfast provided is typical of northern Italy, and is excellent. Coffees are served promptly (and after day 1 the staff know your morning coffee routine). The quality and size of the breakfast is excellent and the view from the dining room is magnificent. The amenities provided are very good, given the size of the lodge. The sauna, steam room and relaxation room are perfect, beyond clean and in excellent condition. There is also a small pool table and foosball table for some family action. The bedrooms themselves are excellent with lots of room and the beds are very comfortable. The views of Selva and the valley from the balcony are stunning. We enjoyed having separate duvets on our bed as did our kids. The bathroom was spotless and the oversized tiled shower was awesome. Even the "view from the throne" was fantastic! The daily housekeeping service was impeccable. The cleanliness of this lodge was above average and likely the best of anywhere we have ever stayed, and we have travelled globally. I simply could not find any real faults in the facilities. The lounge area with an apres ski bar and a small fireplace is setup with a number of tables for getting together, playing games or having a drink from the onsite bar that is attended by the owners.

I can honestly say that I could not find very many faults with this property. The only thing that I could recommend for additional facilities would include a soaking tub / hot tub, for post skiing relaxation. However, the quality of the sauna and steam room truly make up for this small missing piece. There is small plunge pool, but it is only open in the winter.

Everything was perfect. Garni La Tambra is always the best choice for our vacation in Val Gardena. We can highly recommend this beautiful place. I can't wait for my next visit.
