Hotel Poseidonia Mare

Absolutely fantastic family-run hotel. Close to the beach and nearby restaurants and in walking distance of the antique city of Paestum. Pompei and the Amalfi coat can be reached by train easily. The staff was very friendly and helpful and even invited us to dinner at the hotel. We really enjoyed our stay there.

The home made food we had for dinner was amazing and the personell unbelievably friendly. Our room was exactly as depicted and had everything we needed. We had a very nice stay!

During our 21 day vacation to Italy, my wife and I traveled to the beach town of Paestum. Paestum is off the regular tourist track with a low key, easy going vibe. A dear friend strongly suggested we stay at The Hotel Poseidonia. What can I say. Although is doesn't have an ocean view, we were just few short steps away from the crystal blue waters of the ocean. Upon check-in at the hotel, we received a welcoming greeting from the owners who are onsite both day and night. A breakfast and dinner package comes with your room reservation - convenient, economical, and delicious! We were in a nice King room and although not overly spacious, the room had more than adequate room for luggage storage plus we had a cute balcony overlooking the adjacent park. The hotel prides themselves on cleanliness and it shows in every detail. Walking distance to the main street offers a good choice of restaurants from casual to fine dining. If you want to do a bit of historic sightseeing, the town of Agropolis is a quick ten minute drive and offers a many sights to see. There you can tour Castellabate which has a magnificent view of the ocean bay. I will certainly return and I highly recommend staying at Hotel Poseidonia if you want a relaxing, clean, friendly oasis, filled with local Italian charm. Don't Forget this is the city capital of Mozzarella , and the most beautiful Greek Temples in the world.

Great staff, location and parking. Breakfast buffet was nice. The room was really warm when we got there but called the front desk and they had to turn on the air conditioning since it was before the time they usually use it in the season.

The shower doors leaked.

We really enjoyed staying here. Fabio and his brother Alessandro were so helpful with directions and explaining the sites not to be missed in town. We walked at night to the archeological site (all lit up) as per their recommendation. Having the outdoor patio was a plus.

Fabio and Alessandro were very hospitable and helped us navigate this lovely town; as well as give us recommendations for our next stops.

Restaurant was good, with local dishes. Waitress was excellent - friendly and efficient.

A couple of comfortable chairs in the room would have been welcome.

The Staff were excellent, could not do enough for us. The location of the Hotel was only mins from the beach and the Paestum ruins. The Hotel was sparkling clean, we had a wonderful stay at the Poseidonia Mare.
