Hotel Poseidonia Mare

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Posedonia Mare for eleven days in June and July 2022. It was amazing, Alessandro, Vincent, Fabio and all the staff were so friendly and helpful during our visit. The room was clean and comfortable, the bathroom had toiletries and soft towels, the shower was great, although a bit small, (but we knew that as we viewed the room first) There was a large balcony overlooking the garden with a table and chairs and a drying rack, so great to throw your towels on when you come from the beach. The included breakfast was buffet style with a wide selection of breakfast items, coffee, juice, toast, cheeses, cooked meat, cereal, fresh fruit, yoghurt, they will make egg dishes on request. The evening meal ( also included in the price) was four courses and an appetizer. Every night a fabulous meal, all homemade with local food. The menu was posted every morning. There was a lovely garden with a stream and entertainment there on a Fridays in July . The beach was 2-3 minutes walk and for a small fee you could have two sun beds and an umbrella. Fabulous beach with golden sand and shallow, warm water. Unlike a lot of lidos, there was no music blaring so it was peaceful. The hotel is walking distance to the archeological park at Paestum, it takes about 25 minutes; and practically next door is the amazing Borlotti buffalo farm. I highly recommend a visit here, you can watch cheese being made and see the buffalo. You must have lunch in the lovely restaurant. I have recommended Hotel Posedonia Mare to all my friends and I will stay there again. Thank you Alessandro and Vincent.

I don't understand how this hotel is rated so well in Trip Advisor or Booking.com No swimming pool, the sea is far away, the tiny shower has a plastic curtain, the food is greasy, the room smelled of smoke, the room is small, the dining room is decorated horribly We had booked a week but wanted to leave after one night. The boss demanded that I pay 3 nights or else he called the police. a bad pro
