"Lovely staff - great location ."

8.0

So glad we found this hotel. Torri is a lovely tittle resort and this hotel's location on the road in from Grada is very handy. It's a short stroll into town and as it's location is above the level of the road it's still quite quiet. Breakfasts are good (although the coffee and tea are very disappointing - bring your own teabags!) with lots of choice and served in a pleasant setting. You can either eat inside or outside on the terrace overlooking the garden. The pool is very attractive and always quiet enough to get a lounger and enjoy a peaceful swim. We used it most afternoons on our return from walks, boat trips or visits to neighbouring towns. Staff were friendly and helpful at all times. My tip would be to get a room at the front with a balcony. I wish we had. When booking I thought it was just a view we were being offered so declined because I like to sit outside, The views over the lake are stunning and I would have loved to sit and read a book there in the morning or sip a glass of wine in the evening. This hotel is excellent value and I would definitely recommend it.

"Second visit"

10.0

We stayed in this hotel for a week in May last year and have just returned from a 4 night stay this time around . I cannot fault this hotel . The location is perfect -faces the lake and is aprox 10 min stroll into the centre of the town along the prom . Bus stop is right outside the hotel . Our room ( No.1) -same as the last visit has a side lake view . The room is a decent size with plenty of storage space -this time around (June) we had a small fridge which we didn't have last time. All areas of the hotel are spotlessly clean and well maintained. Plenty of sunbeds around the pool and in the garden area and towels for the pool are available free of charge from reception and can be changed as often as you like. Free wifi which worked well for us in the room . A key for the safety deposit box is provided free of charge on check in as well as the gate code and side door key as they close over the main door and gate by about 11.30 PM . There is sufficient choice at breakfast to get you going for the day -cereals /cold cuts /breads & pastries/fresh fruits /juices /tea& coffee all served in the dining room or can be taken out to the terrace. Breakfast is served from 8-10 AM but if you need to depart earlier just tell them the day before and they will always accommodate you in the dining room earlier -there may not be the full selection depending on the time but you'll always get something . This is a family run hotel and the staff are outstanding -so welcoming and helpful -. Pets are allowed in the hotel -during our stay this time one couple had a very well behaved dog -you would never know it was there ...and there is a resident cat . That was not an issue for us ...but I appreciate that might not be to everyone's liking but other than the odd breakfast we didn't know the dog was there -sat tucked away under the table ...and the cat had the odd wander around . Torri itself is a small ,relatively quiet resort -gets busier on market day -Monday - but there's plenty of restaurants/cafes ....and the castle as well as obviously relaxing by the pool or the shingle beach areas .

"Perfect for us"

8.0

We stayed here for a week last month and loved it. The hotel is well cared for and family run. Its right on the lake front and is very relaxing looking out on the lake from the pool and patio area. The bus stop is right outside, great for trips, and the walk is a lovely 10 min stroll into Torri. A haven away from the husstle and busstle. I would have given 5 stars if we had a view, we were at the side of the hotel and I expect the view from one of the front rooms must be amazing. Thank you to the staff who work very hard day and night - we shall return one day!

"Not sure they are as keen on the British!"

8.0

I went to Italy 4 years ago but was really surprised how different the Italians treated us this time, I'm sure it's becasue of Brexit? They don't speak very much English here so it perhaps wasn't the best hotel for us. Our aircon was leaking water onto the balcony and didn't get fixed even after telling them, which took ages to try and explain. The towel rail in the bathroom was so loose we didn't dare use it as it was going to fall off. They were very friendly and welcoming however we felt the staff spoke quite a lot to everyone but the British. We did feel a bit out of place. We had a lovely room, can't fault the cleanliness with a balcony looking over the Lake, however if you aren't used to traffic outside your window, don't go there, it was on a really busy main road and we had to keep the window shut otherwise we couldn't sleep! (Eg if you live in a cul-de-sac for instance) Breakfast was lovely every morning, but again felt we were intruding on the German and Italian guests! And the staff never made conversation with us. I choose this hotel becasue it was dog friendly so there were dogs around and a lovely cat, which was nice becasue I have them at home and missed them, however trying to explain that to them was impossible!
