"Beautiful sceneries and excellent ski resort at your doorstep."

Excellent location, easy to reach from Tokyo and very close to ski resort (Suginohara). Very welcoming family and accommodating, brings you to the ski gondola in the morning and have a convenient restaurant in this peaceful little village. Ski resort was excellent and truly enjoyed our stay! Very good value for money.

Village is rather quiet and not many restaurants or shops (2 very small and local mini-markets).

"a little bit of Australia in Japan"

Once you entered the Lodge you can quickly tell it wont be the usual Hotel. The owner and a big part of the staff are Australians and same for the restaurant in the hotel that was offering different Aussies recipes. The owner and the staff were always willing to help us and advice us.

The breakfast options were limited
