We had such a wonderful, peaceful stay. The views are breathtaking and the staff truly went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Also, a huge thank you for the incredible tea and coffee—they were the highlight of our mornings!

While the quality is great, the menu would benefit from greater variety to cater to different preferences.

The hotel is a good base for snorkeling at Pigeon Island National Park and exploring nearby dive sites, with several dive operators conveniently located right next door. Its beachfront setting and well-maintained pool are definite highlights, creating a relaxing and scenic atmosphere. The surrounding area is relatively undeveloped, which makes it especially peaceful. The open-air restaurant onsite is quite good, and the pizzas are especially impressive :) The rooms are spacious and comfortable overall.

The only minor downside was the weak water pressure.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Cardamom Hotel so much that we decided to extend it for a few more nights. The hotel is located in a beautiful area and offers a wonderful, clean pool and beach area that made it the perfect place to relax. The rooms are big and very stylish. We especially loved spending time on the balcony and enjoying the bathtub after a day at the beach. The whole atmosphere is calm and peaceful — ideal for a relaxing getaway. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. Every conversation with them was a pleasure and made us feel genuinely cared for. We also really enjoyed the food at the hotel restaurant: the traditional Sri Lankan dishes, the fresh seafood, and even the pizza with fresh pineapple were all excellent. Another big plus is the diving school right next to the hotel, which made the experience even more special. Altogether, it had everything we needed for an unforgettable beach holiday.

The rooms had a slight cigarette smell. It wasn’t a big issue for us, but guests who are more sensitive to smoke might want to request a non-smoking room when booking. One thing to keep in mind is that the bathroom layout of the rooms with the bathtub is very open - also the toilet area — so it definitely helps if you know your travel companion well, haha. 😅 If you have problems with that, you should choose the classic double room.

Es hat sehr gut gepasst. Das Essen hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt. Das Zimmer hätte etwas sauberer sein können aber das Bett war sehr gemütlich und alles war frisch und ohne Flecken. Die Kinder liebten den großen Pool. Für den Preis könnte meiner Meinung das Frühstück dabei sein aber das ist jammern auf hohem Niveau.

Bei uns war das Waschbecken im Zimmer unten rum sehr dreckig wurde wohl übersehen.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel. The location is perfect, the rooms are very clean and comfortable, and the staff are truly amazing — friendly, welcoming, and always helpful. The food in the hotel restaurant was delicious and very reasonably priced. We were extremely happy with everything. Honestly, everything was perfect, and we really did not want to leave. If we ever return to Sri Lanka, we will definitely stay here again without any doubt. Highly recommended!

To najlepszy hotel w jakim byliśmy do tej pory na Sri Lance. Przestronne ładne pokoje. Piękny widok na plażę. Smaczne śniadanie. Bardzo miły, pomocny personel. Na koniec dostaliśmy upominek w postaci magnesów.

Nice hotel at the beach, with a lovely garden and pool. The room was spacious and clean, the staff was friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was also decent.

Nothing major to complain about.
