Jungle Paradise

Our stay at Jungle Paradise was nothing short of outstanding. From the moment we arrived the staff were friendly, chatty and helpful and our room was extremely clean and comfortable with a gorgeous balcony overlooking the jungle. We arranged our Safari through the hotel and had an exceptional experience with our driver Lasa who knew the animals and park inside out and had us up close and personal with so much wildlife - it was an experience to never forget! The local curry at the restaurant was also memorable as was all the food. Simply cannot fault this place! Thanks to all the staff :)

Das Jungle Paradise ist eine absolute Wohlfühl Oase. Die Zimmer sind total sauber und haben eine tolle Terasse. Am Pool kann man nach der Safari richtig schön entspannen und das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Die Safari haben wir mit dem Guide Lasa gemacht, das ist eine absolute Empfehlung. Er hat uns alles ganz in Ruhe erklärt und die Tiere sehr respektvoll behandelt. Wir würden die Safari mit ihm auf jeden Fall wieder machen.

L’emplacement tranquille en retrait entouré de nature, proche du réservoir et de l’entrée du parc national. La piscine, le jardin. Les animaux de compagnie. L’équipe, le personnel très attentif et chaleureux, professionnel et compétent.

Excellent hôtel proche du parc national. Accueil impeccable. La piscine est très appréciable. Il est reposant de boire une tasse de thé sur le balcon en bois. L’organisation du safari et son déroulé ont été un sans faute ! Le chauffeur rattaché à l’hôtel connaît le parc comme sa poche et partage volontiers ses connaissances sur les animaux. Je recommande.

I would 100% recommend this place for the safari to Uduwalawe national park. The staff is super friendly and caring, the rooms are very spacious and clean and I felt very safe!

The pool could be a bit cooler, but that’s the only thing!

Die Unterkunft war einfach traumhaft – sehr gepflegt, modern und gleichzeitig perfekt in die Natur eingebettet. Besonders beeindruckt hat mich die ruhige Atmosphäre und der schöne Poolbereich. Das Personal war außergewöhnlich freundlich und aufmerksam, man hat sich vom ersten Moment an willkommen gefühlt. Auch das Essen war frisch, abwechslungsreich und sehr lecker.

We had a wonderful stay at Jungle Paradise Hotel near Udawalawe. After arriving and being welcomed with some refreshing drinks, we had lunch before checking into our the deluxe apartment. The room was fantastic and very spacious, which worked perfectly for our family. We had some heavy rain in the afternoon and it was relaxing sitting in the apartment listening to the rain and thunder outside while enjoying the peaceful jungle surroundings. Afterwards we spent some time swimming in the pool at night, which was a great experience with the warm air and stars above. The location is great if you’re visiting the nearby safari park and attractions. During our stay we visited the Udawalawe Elephant Transit Home, where we were able to watch juvenile elephants being fed by staff. Sitting about 30 metres away, it was amazing to see them come running for their milk, trumpeting as they approached. It was a really special experience and a highlight of our time in the area. Dinner at the hotel was very good, with generous portions. We had kottu and rice and curry, and there was so much food that we couldn’t even finish it all. We booked an early morning safari in Udawalawe National Park through the hotel and it was amazing, the driver was professional and was able to point out animals well before we saw them. Upon our return to the hotel, we were served breakfast, which was a mix of local and western options. We tried a traditional Sri Lankan breakfast with string hoppers, red rice, coconut sambal, eggs and dhal curry, while the kids enjoyed toast, eggs and fresh fruit. We really loved our stay. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, the food was great, and the location makes it an excellent base for visiting Udawalawe National Park and the Elephant Transit Home. We would recommend this to anyone visiting the area, specially with a family!

Es war einfach alles perfekt - außerordentlich große und sehr schön eingerichtete Zimmer, hervorragend ausgestattetes Bad, super Pool, Essen war perfekt, Personal war außerordentlich hilfsbereit und freundlich!
