The Glenrock Wellness Nature Resort

This is a real gem! Felt really spoiled by the very attentive staff. Great food and fabulous room. The perfect place to absorb yourself in nature with a touch of luxury. As a bit of a twitcher, this is incredible. Ticked of a number of rear sightings. Loved the morning visit of the giant squirrel coming for his breakfast. Will definitely be back.

For nature lovers Sri Lanka is a paradise, this hotel provides just that exposure to nature and provided exceptional service to their customers to enjoy pristine nature in a traditional village in Sri Lanka which is not common in many parts of Sri Lanka. Hotel is surrounded by paddy fields (rice cultivation) and mountain range with ample water streams and medium-size water falls; we were exposed to sounds of water and birds during the entire stay and no sounds of people or street. Hotel is located in an exceptionally calm place; good for metal relaxation, and meditation. Hotel staff exceeded our expectations and provided local tours to experience village life and hiking in the mountains to learn fauna and water falls around the village. Hotel staff is exceptional in cooking traditional Sri Lankan or western food, kudos to the entire staff, manager and kitchen staff. This is one of the few places in Sri Lanka that we felt home sickness when we checkout. We will be back to this unique picturesque place in Sri Lanka in our future visits.

The Glenrock was an amazing experience. The location and environment were idyllic with mountains around it and an ever flowing river on the periphery. We spotted large billed birds in the trees, a mongoose, chipmunks and a giant squirrel who visited every morning for bananas. The rooms were large and equipped with all you needed, the bed was very comfortable and WiFi worked in all the rooms. The staff were amazing always on hand to help delivering ice, drinks and food to our rooms. The breakfasts were out of this world so tasty and so substantial. Dinner in the hotel dining area was so well managed it felt like a fine dining experience with drinks topped up, refills of food and attention to all the details. Compliments to the chefs the food was outstanding. We were taken to visit the waterfalls and the staff were very attentive insuring our safety at all times. The river in the grounds of the hotel provided us with such a giggle whilst we had "fish therapy", tiny fish nibbling your feet leaving them smooth and refreshed. We loved our stay here and would like to thank Iresh, Thushara, Duminda and the chefs. We would highly recommend you indulge in this experience

Our stay was incredible. We absolutely loved our time, and the hotel and staff were first class. Beautiful remote location, and we enjoyed a lovely day trip to the local waterfall. Very comfortable room. Thank you Glenrock!

The location and the rooms were amazing!! we could see many different animals from the terrace. But especially the team of Glenrock is AMAZING!! Such caring, kind and friendly people who make it an absolute pleasure to spend time at Glenrock. Thank you for everything!! Team will pick you up from parking lot nearby as the final piece of the road requires 4x4 transport.
