Gorgeous boutique resort in stunning location

Great location for relaxing stay with beautiful views. Welcoming owners and dedicated staff, taking excellent care of the guests. High variety of meals and snacks available on site together with creative drinks.

We had a wonderful stay at Omia. It is an oasis for a relaxed holiday in Sri Lanka. The rooms are nicely decorated and clean and have everything one needs. The food is great and the staff does not leave any of your wishes open. It has been amazing waking up to the view of the ocean and being able to go for a walk or dive into the pool. Barbara is a wonderful host, who provided recommendations as to places to visit and best beaches in the area. We would come again.

Beach location fantastic!

Local roads were a little tricky

Best hotel / resort we’ve ever stayed in. Staff were exceptional, and both the resort and the room were more then exceptional. Crazy ocean view from room 4. Amazing deserted beach literally right outside the hotel plus a really good pool. Food was great and stuff looked after us well. Didn’t want to leave!! Felt it was good value too for what we got.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The owners are warm and friendly the beach is terrific and we swam in the ocean numerous times ( you need to be confident in the ocean ). The staff are exceptional and their different personalities shine through. This should always be encouraged, staff are people and should be treated with respect and staff here seemed to be at ease which we personally liked. Next to the staff we really rate the food. The coconut cake was heaven on a plate ..... order it if you see it on the menu. The owner allowed us to be part of his birthday celebrations ..... how nice of him & his wife. Lovely lovely people. We would happily return. Final word is to the troop of pets. They seem well looked after and that warmed us to this establishment straight away !!!

Omia is on one of the most beautiful stretches of beach and the hotel pool and gardens are stunning well maintained. We had one of the nicest rooms - large, comfortable and well-furnished with a view over-looking the pool and beach. The team are helpful and friendly and the breakfast tasty and substantial with options to suit everyone. We loved our stay and would highly recommend. It’s a very special spot.

It is a 15 minute Tuk Tuk ride from Tangalle but this turned out to be a big plus for us as the beach was much nicer and the area quiet. The menu is a bit limited but also understandable as it is a small resort.
