Vang Vieng Camellia Hotel

I stated a preference during booking for a quiet room. And when I checked in, the staff was able to fulfill my request with a very quiet room, located in the higher floor, backside of the building. Staff worked with their smile, created a very cozy atmosphere from beginnings to the end, very friendly! Definitely recommend,

This isn't a luxury hotel, but this small and simple place has everything we need for a comfortable stay. The quiet, the location, cleanliness, and the kindness of the staff, including breakfast, were exactly what we needed for our trip to a bustling town. Higher floor has better mountain view from windows. We've taken several tours with them, all were perfect and affordable; these are very good tour and hot air balloon companies. They partner with several reputable partners to provide these services, and of course we paid higher and we were really happy with their services.

The stairs are higher than usual, so you need to be careful when climbing to the top floor room.

The room was rather basically equipped, the facilities worked well, A/C and hot shower run well. Tour services can be provided quickly with good quality and good price at front desk. Breakfast was also good with many choices of fresh fruits, coffee and tea were available at the lobby. The hotel is located centrally, near night market, tourist spots, but it is a quiet hotel. There is no balcony, but there are two large windows.

The hotel has a pristine reviews and it is hard to say why. Room is very basic, you can hear loud noises from outside, because the windows are not isolating anything. The water in the showet was not warm, lukewarm at best with minimal pressure. One of the lights was not working. The only toiletries/ bath products we got were 3in1 shampoo gel (in a small plastic bag) We had a spider running around everyday on our ceiling at around 10 am and the staff did not react to the report. For me that is not a problem but i would imagine, that some people would not find that pleasant. There is no elevator, so you have to take your luggage to the 1st and 2nd floor by very narrow, twisting stairs. The stairs are covered in adhesive tape. The staff is just there, not friendly nor unfriendly but i personally felt unwanted as a guest. Breakfast is bad. They can prepare an eggs for you in any style, other than that you can toast a bread and use margarine or a jam and eat banana. That's it. We decided to go and eat a breakfast in other places after first night. It is not a very bad hotel but definitley it doesn't deserve a 9,6/10.

This town is small, the hotel is within walking distance to the centre of town. We were given the room in another place which is near, the room is big with three single beds.
