Athyantha Resort

From the beginning, the cleanliness of the room was poor. During our stay, we noticed cockroaches and cobwebs in the room, and the bathroom/toilet was particularly unhygienic and not properly maintained. This was extremely disappointing and unacceptable, especially considering the price paid. Additionally, during the middle of the night, continuous frog noises caused significant disturbance and made it difficult for us to rest. After complaining to the staff, we were asked to change to another room. During this interaction, it became apparent that the staff was already aware of this noise issue. This raised a serious concern as to why we were initially allocated a room with a known disturbance. Overall, the stay was very poor and did not provide value for the money spent. Due to the cleanliness issues, lack of comfort, and inconvenience faced, we are extremely dissatisfied with the experience.

Cleanliness, far away from city, stray dogs coming into property, breakfast was vegetarian

The location is easily accessible to the ancient city, and the road conditions are good. The surrounding landscape of paddy fields with many peacocks in the area is truly picturesque

Clean of the rooms to be improved

Staff was good, food was tasty. It was almost like a safari ride 😁😁 frogs, bats, flys , pigeons , spiders very close to you !! Let them suprise you!

Not good if you got toddlers who dont do well with wild life

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Athyantha Resort in Anuradhapura, and I can recommend it enough! As soon as I arrived, I was captivated by the serene view of the paddy fields that surrounded the resort. It’s like stepping into a painting – the lush green plants swaying gently in the breeze created such a peaceful atmosphere. The room was cozy and comfortable, and I loved waking up to the sight of the fields right outside my window. It definitely added a special touch to my mornings. There’s something incredibly soothing about watching the farmers work the land and the occasional birds flitting about. It made my stay feel even more connected to the natural beauty of Sri Lanka. The staff at the resort were wonderful, always friendly and eager to help. They made me feel right at home. Plus, the food was delicious! I enjoyed dining with that stunning view, which made each meal feel like a little celebration. Overall, my time at Athyantha Resort was just what I needed – a perfect blend of tranquility and comfort. If you’re looking for a place to unwind and enjoy the beauty of the paddy fields, this is the spot. I can’t wait to return!
