Mermaid Inn

Price considered, this place is a steal. They have a small kitchen with essentials (no oven) free of charge. The room was clean and as you would expect.

Very loud at night! Dogs barking and noisy street… Breakfast was the worst we have had in Sri Lanka. No Wi-Fi? We didn’t find one and got no introduction. Lights and kettle didn’t work when we arrived, but they fixed it very quickly though. Also, they went into our room the change the kettle when we weren’t home, which was nice of them, however we didn’t give our permission for them to do this. Nothing missing or anything, so this was solely a good deed, however it would have been nice to have allowed for this to happen :/
