J7 Villaj Resort

The staff was the only thing we liked about this stay.

The property was very run down and dirty and on arrival we had to change rooms due to a sewage smell coming from our bathroom sink only to find that it also was coming from the free flowing water outside the property that looked and smelt like sewage too. This was also right next to the kitchen. We didn’t eat at the property because of how dirty the kitchen was and the restaurant. There were flies everywhere in the restaurant, the walls were black in places including around the serving hatch where the staff were leaning up against. The tables weren’t clean nor were the placemats. The outdoor pool area required lots of work including repair of broken tiles, exposed wires and broken and dirty sunbeds. There are no toiletries in the rooms, the fridge smelt bad and the bathroom was very grimy with cobwebs and dirt on the walls and ceilings. Incredibly overpriced for a below average stay. Wouldn’t stay again and would advise anyone who is looking to stay, to not eat the food.

The staff

The room was not clean, the equipment was outdated, there was a frog in the toilet, no hot water and especially no water the next morning, the breakfast was very average. We stay one night and we really wanted to leave the next day :(

Estancia muy buena, desayuno increíble y persona muy amable. La habitación amplia y cama muy cómoda. El personal nos ha ayudado en todo y tienen un tuk tuk para poder moverte a donde deseas. La playa está al lado y se puede pasear tranquilamente porque es muy amplia. Sin duda un lugar para hospedarse en tus vacaciones en trincomalee

Foto’s van de accommodatie waren niet up to date. Gebouw en tuin is in vervallen staat. Om de leeftijd van de foto’s in perspectief te zetten, de palmen naast het zwembad zijn nu 10 meter hoog. Ook is er geen ontbijt buffet zoals op de foto’s, zijn de badkamers sterk verouderd en gevaarlijk (vonken sprongen van de draad naar de geiser), zaten er mieren in het bed en stond overdag de muziek hard in het hele complex.

Very nice, friendly and helpful staff. Location - take the night trian from Colombo to Trincomalee (from 11 Eur - 1st class) walking distance from the hotel to the sea, alot of seaactivities in the area. Food is excelent, fresh seafood daily. Easy with transport to town centre.

Wir verbrachten 4 tolle Tage im J7. Die Crew war aufgestellt und sehr hilfsbereit. Wir waren die einzigen Gäste weil out of season. Das Frühstück war lecker. Kleiner aber feiner Pool und zum Strand 5min. Zu Fuss.

Rioollucht in badkamer. Het bijzondere dat ze vroegen wat we wilden eten en daarbij aangaven als er maar fruit bij is en juist dat ontbrak.

Великолепный персонал, чистый просторный комфортабельный номер, ухоженная территория с бассейном, отличная природа вокруг, ласковый теплый океан. В самом отеле отличный ресторан с невысокими ценами. Вокруг много живописных кафешек со вкусной едой

Немного однообразные завтраки. TV работало через раз - не было сигнала. В окрестностях проблематично купить свежие фрукты
