Hotel houdt geen rekening met rust van gasten. Tot 23.00 uur s’avonds was een tafeltje neergezet onder ons balkon met drinken, rokende mannen en gingen steeds luider bellen. Werd later excuses hiervoor aangeboden. Rond 5.15 in de ochtend hoorde we hard gepraat en er bleek gefilmd te worden met felle lampen ook op ons balkon. Ik vind dit s’ochtend vroeg niet kunnen. Werd niet vertelt dat het filmen zo vroeg zo plaats vinden.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at J7 Villaj, and I must say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. From the moment we walked into the lobby, we were greeted by warm and attentive staff who made us feel right at home. Not only that, we arrived close to 11pm and as we sat with a welcome drink, the manager came from home to welcome us personally. Now that is service. The room on the 2nd floor overlooking the pool was large, bright and clean. The plus was that the bed was so comfortable and ensured a good night’s sleep. Also, the comfortable chairs on the balcony were a great place to relax after a day at the beach with a nice cold drink. Talking of the beach, it’s only a 5min walk away and we were not disappointed. It has nice soft sand and has no garbage. There are plenty of sun loungers available at the various bars along the beach, usually for the price of a drink - but even that isn’t enforced that strongly. One of the highlights, though, of our stay was undoubtedly the dining experience at J7. The delightful food we won’t soon forget. Whether it was breakfast, lunch, or dinner, each dish was expertly prepared and presented well. The attentive waitstaff made sure every dining experience was a memorable one. The prices, whether for food or drink, are also some of the lowest in the area and their portion sizes are very good. You definitely can’t go wrong. The popularity is also shared by the number of locals who eat and have parties here. As you know when travelling, always eat where the locals eat. As for the hotel’s location, it couldn’t have been better. It was conveniently situated near Trincomalee, making it easy for us to explore the city’s attractions. Additionally, the hotel’s manager helped organize motorbike rentals and side trips at prices that were the same or cheaper than we found on the street. The attention to detail and the commitment to guest satisfaction at J7 truly sets it apart.

The only slight negative was that the lounger cushions around the pool could be a little softer. But that is really trying to pick a fault with the place.

Staff behaviour and willingness

Bad smell in the room. Bathroom is made with slippery floor tiles.

Mooi hotel, fijn zwembad, super vriendelijk personeel, lekker ontbijt en heel goede ligging. Slecht 100m van het strand.

Met airco (die je nodig hebt om te slapen) was het beetje te koud om met enkel een laken te slapen. Geen deken aanwezig. Ik kreeg wel een 2de laken.

The traditional breakfast was very good. However I was expecting some variety of different items.
