Rainforest Nest

We loved everything. The beautiful location in the middle of nature. Sitting on our balcony, with its view into the rice paddies, we could see so much wildlife already. Room and bed were very comfortable. It was very quiet. We ate all our meals there, and everything tasted great and was prepared with love. The tours with Saman were fantastic, we saw so much. He so often was the one who pointed out animals to other guides, who had walked right past them. He was knowledgeable and passionate. But what really made this place special was the loving hospitality of Saman and Umesha, who did absolutely everything to make sure we had a perfect stay. Feeling at home might be a cliche, but here it was absolutely true. Rarely have we been as sad to leave a place.

There was some mold in the bathroom, but in this climate that is almost impossible to avoid and did not bother us at all.

Incredible stay!! The hosts were so lovely and organized everything for us with ease. The food was delicious. The tour was awesome. He gave us so much information about the wildlife and vegetation and answered any questions we had. The room was very clean and had a beautiful view from the front porch. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Only downside is no aircon but there is a fan

Ein Juwel zwischen Reisfeldern und Regenwald. Hier stimmt einfach alles. Angefangen bei den Gastgebern Umesha und Saman, der wunderschönen Lage, der hübschen und sehr sauberen Bungalows bis zu dem feinen essen und der wirklich top Führung durch Samed dur den Regenwald. Am Schluss habe ich von Umesha noch ein Stück Aloa vera Pflanze zurBehandlung einer juckenden Hautstelle und obendrauf ein Babypflänzchen davon für zu Hause. Und der ganze Aufenthalt zu einem aussergewöhnlich guten Preisleistungsverhältnis. Herzlichen Dank!!

The best place we stayed on Sri Lanka. Beautiful quiet location, amazing view right from the bed. The cottage is really comfotarble, with great attention to details. What is best is the host family, Saman and his wife made my family feel like at home. Great forest and night village tour with Saman, we have seen and learn so much. I can highly recommend!

We stayed here for 3 nights and had an amazing time. The hosts are so welcoming - they made their home feel like ours 😊The location is PERFECT and staying here was the highlight of our 12 day trip... We really missed the noises of the rainforest once we moved onto Tangalle.

The only thing we can think of is that we thought there was a menu of food to choose from for tea. However, the food was delicious, fresh, and home cooked.

Amazing tour in the rainforest, very kind host which made us dinner and nice breakfast and lunch during the tour. Saw some amazing animals, in doubt book it and it will become a highlight on your trip
