Rainforest Nest

Great place with views over the rice fields. Good location and close to the national park entry. The owners treated us well with great food. The owner is a rainforest guide, which is handy for booking the tour with him. The bungalows are just amazing.

Nothing to say, everything is good

Er is zoveel te vertellen over dit verblijf. Samen en zijn vrouw zijn werkelijk de liefste mensen op aarde. Ze doen er alles aan om je verblijf zo comfortabel mogelijk te maken. De accommodatie is prachtig en biedt een adembenemend mooi uitzicht. Het eten was overheerlijk (en er was meer dan genoeg!). De jungle tour met Samen was een absolute highlight – hij kent het regenwoud als zijn broekzak en zijn kennis is indrukwekkend. We hebben zelfs samen een gewond aapje kunnen redden! Het respect dat hij heeft voor dieren raakte ons echt en sluit helemaal aan bij wat wij belangrijk vinden. Onze tuktuk had wat schade opgelopen, en zonder dat we het hoefden te vragen, werd dit voor ons geregeld en gerepareerd – wat een service! Kortom: een verblijf om nooit te vergeten. Wij raden iedereen aan om hier te verblijven!

Run by an extremely warm and affable couple - with the husband, Saman, doubling as guide of the rainforest, and a good one at that (he sat with us to compile a list of the bird species seen during our two tours of the rainforest), this bungalow (one of just two) facing rice fields with kingfishers resting on the branch lines was as delight. From waking up to the sound of peacocks meowing and sutra chanting from the nearby temple, to ginormous breakfasts (and lunches and dinners) cooked by the lovely wife of Saman, this was the best place in our short Sri Lankan vacation.

Lo mejor de todo son los dueños Saman, Umesha y su hijo Arjun, te hacen sentir de la familia desde el primer momento son super atentos, son increíbles. Samán es un guía de 10, ves un montón de cosas con el y además es muy simpático, siempre con la sonrisa en la boca. Umesha es un encanto, está al tanto de todo pero dejandote tu espacio. El hotel está cerca de la entrada del parque, muy limpio y acogedor. Desde que llegas ellos se hacen cargo de todo, comidas, excursiones todo a muy buen precio. Super super recomendable, si te gusta visitar selva y ver animales no dudes en ir a este hotel. Cuando nos hemos ido parecía que nos despediamos de la familia, hemos viajado mucho y nunca nos habían hecho sentir así. Volveríamos un millo de veces

Staying here is what ‘be like home’ really means! An exceptional experience here with the host Saman. And as an official guide, Saman provides an unforgettable adventure into the Sinharja forest.

No, everything is perfect!

I loved the peacefulness and great air quality in the place, Saman and Mesha were extremely accommodating and were excellent hosts I really felt like I was in my second home. The bungalow is clean and well insulated from insects and has all needed amenities. Saman is a great guide and Mesha is an amazing cook both very friendly and speak great English. I will really miss this place I can’t wait to come back!

Najwspanialszy homestay na Sri Lance. Najczystszy pokój z najlepszym wyposażeniem. Polecam skorzystać z opcji oprowadzania po lesie deszczowym. Super miejsce do obserwowania przyrody.

Gekommen sind wir als Gäste, gegangen sind wir als Freunde. Ich kann sowohl die Unterkunft als auch die Gastgeber nur wärmstens empfehlen. Hier stimmt einfach alles. Ja, es gibt keine Klimaanlage, aber wir haben diese auch nicht gebraucht da das Klima in den Bergen angenehm ist und man kann mit offener Tür und Ventilator sehr gut zurecht kommen. Die Tour in den Regenwald mit dem Gastgeber kann ich ebenfalls nur empfehlen. Tipp: Außerdem gibt es die Möglichkeit einen sehr guten Masseur kommen zu lassen.

One of the most beauiful guesthouse during our stay in Srí Lanka. It is super clean! The hosting family are so kind and helpful and the rainforest tour was absolutely the favorite part of my stay. They saw our sunburn and offered us fresh aloe vera to treat is. The view from the terrace is spectecular! I just hope I can visit this place again the future.
