Una Beach Hotel & OLU Cafe

Property was clean and in such good location. The cafe is great. The Nutella iced latte was amazing. The staff were so friendly and kindly organised a taxi to the airport for me in the evening and let me leave my bags at the hotel for the day. Would definitely return.

highly not recommend you to stay there, the only nice thing about their is location other things are not connected to good stay: First you can't take a shower everytime in the middle of the shower after 2mins needs to run downstairs to ask their kindness to open the water. the tap was compelety fidly moving in all directions can't use proprly, the light bulbs were almost all burned and was dark as 80% of lights didn't work they kept informing that they will fix and provide wifi and later didn't bring anything after couple of requests, the cleaning was not nice it was dirty, it was scareful to touch some dish and kettle as they are dirty (look to the photos), wardrobes don't close lock is useless, we have a sea view room and instead in reality turnened out to be a roof view. we stayed at other places cheaper and better quality of stay. highly recommend you not to go to this place and to find yourself somewhere else

The location is good, a short walk to Unawatuna beach and the beachside restaurants. The room and bathroom were really clean and quite large. The bathroom had really great water pressure.

There's only one plug point near the bed so it's not ideal for 2 people to share but we managed for our short stay. The only major downside to the stay was the toilet seat - it was very worn and not set in place comfortably, with a crack in the middle. It was quite loud in the garden view room, as it's right near the cafe and the music etc. from it carry into the room during business hours.

Our second stay at this hotel the room was lovely and spacious and clean. Great location and really friendly helpful staff would highly recommend

Booked room with balcony and sea view - but trees obstructing the view - couldn’t really ask them to chop the tree down now could I !!

Close to the beach, shops and restaurants of Unawatuna. Lovely communal courtyard space where we could sit to work. Great having a cafe/restaurant on site. The Thai food was delicious. Good sized room with balcony. AC worked well. Unawatuna itself felt very safe, and was more touristy than other places we’ve visited (but not hassled) This was good for us, as travelling with children. I let my 10 year old daughter go out to get an ice cream by herself. I was a little concerned about how loud the music was playing in the cafe when we arrived, thinking we were in a party place but it was turned off very early and actually made for a nicer atmosphere.

There was only a very thin sheet to sleep under. I would have preferred something a little heavier. This is a small issue and wouldn’t stop me booking again.

The food was very good and the personal were positiv, service minded and nice. We liked the open part in the middle of the hotel were you could eat, have a drink etc.

Why can not the water tap be fixad and not loose in so many hotels.
