Una Beach Hotel & OLU Cafe

Das Personal war wirklich besonders freundlich! Die Lage etwas außerhalb des Troubels und trotzdem alles erreichbar war gut, au h das Bett war gut, das Zimmer soweit ganz schön, allerdings kein wirklicher Meerblick, man sah nur vom Balkon aus einen Zipfel. Das Essen und Café waren sehr gut, aber völlig überteuert. Der Innenhof ist nett und ruhig mit angenehmer Atmosphäre. Das Bad war nicht sehr sauber und eher unschön, nur sehr groß, die Wanne ist nicht wirklich nutzbar, da sie innen "ausgebaut", also nur zum Sitzen ist, aber gut, das braucht man auch nicht unbedingt.

Das Bad war mit offenem Fenster (Mücken, warm), die hohen Decken waren zwar schön, aber so musste die Klimaanlage eine Weile laufen, bis es kühl wurde. Deluxe war das Zimmer nun wirklich auch nicht, es war schön, aber Standard und vergleichsweise für sri Lanka teurer. Ich hatte danach ein richtig tolles Zimmer mit echtem Meerblick, gutem Frühstück, tollem, gepflegtem Bad für 5 € weniger...

The stay good and worth the money, the staff was friendly, and they accommodated our late evening check-in smoothly. The overall experience was very nice. However, overall impression remains positive.

They did not respond to messages, and it was hard to find contact numbers for the hotel. Despite these minor issues but its not big issues.

I really enjoyed my stay. There was an annual festival happening where locals went to the temple on the beach. It was loud and chaotic, but it was fun because you could see a lot of local people in action.

We booked the sea view room and there was a wall built in front of our room which didn’t make sense

Lovely staff including the owner,very smiley, friendly and helpful all of them. Literally a minute to the beach surrounded by loads of restaurants, lovely garden for chilling. They have a nice cafe. The rooms are very good value for money. I'd stay here again.

If you want a lie in then not for you, very noisy in the morning.

The hotel is centrally located to restaurants, motorbike hire, massage and the beach. It has it's own cafe ( great chai and hot chocolate) and Thai restaurant. Our room was spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed, amazingly quiet and effective air-conditioning and strong shower. Sometimes we had trouble getting hot water though. A bonus was the shampoo and body wash provided.It has a lovely area outside to sit where you can see squirrels and occasionally langurs. The staff were friendly and kind. Would definitely stay here again.
