Beautiful decorated rooms, friendly staff. Comfortable bed, clean linen and towels. Small boutique hotel 5 min Tuktuk drive away from the hustle and bustle of Unawatuna city center.

Friendly service but unfortunately with a lot of hick ups and miss understandings. With proper training of staff this hotel could easy be 10/10. No where to hang or keep you clothes in the room.

The Prof's Place is a unique and intimate hotel. It has a traditional Sri Lankan architectural feel with all the modern amenities. It's location is brilliant as it is only a few minutes drive from some of the most brilliant beaches and night life on the southern coast. When you get back to the Prof's Place you are in a secluded oasis of tranquillity overlooking the sea and cocooned in a chill vibe. There's a lovely pool as well. The food is exquisite and the service is always with a smile! Thanks for the great stay!

"Heavenly!"

Entering through the magnificent doors, felt like I was granted a piece of peaceful heaven all to myself from the paradise island/Sri Lanka. Such friendly staff knew exactly what and when to do while also respecting my privacy. All my delicious meals included the fresh catch from the sea. Who ever said mocktails are boring, taste their array of selections made from tropical fruits and dont forget the Signature Kambucha and Butterfly Pea Iced Tea, my favourites! Ask the staff to explain to you the meaning of the '18 Sanniya', the name given to their restaurant. You will learn some interesting historical rituals surrounding the 18 Masks hanging on the wall. Snorkelling, Diving, Surfing, befriending cute sea turtles, sunset yoga or just a relaxing stroll on the beach, this is the place to be! Give a kiss to Sanni for me the friendly doggo who'll be the 1st to greet you with his forever wagging tail :)

Scenic location with easy access to the beach. The rooms are simple with luxurious beds and clean, crisp white linens. Very clean bathroom. Excellent food and plenty of choices. Definitely recommend this little gem.
