Smeralda Beach Hotel Dikwella

We stayed here for 10 days over Easter this year, as a family of 4 with two teenage kids. We were looking for rest, sun and good food. This hotel is in a perfect location on the most beautiful beach. A 10 minute walk to Turtle Bay, where you can swim with turtles and a quick Tuk Tuk ride to Hiriketika, which has lots of shops and restaurants. The staff at the hotel are wonderful. They are very friendly and kind and breakfast was fresh and delicious. A lovely owner too. 10 out of 10, would recommend.

We ate twice at the restaurant here. Both times they set up a table on the beach. The food and service were very good. As it was the birthday of one of our party they decorated our table and got a special birthday cake for us which was delicious. Prices are slightly higher than average Sri Lankan restaurants but not excessively and the service makes up for this!

Small family run hotel. Staff outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble, we absolutely loved it. Perfect for 4 dsys of R n R. The food was delicious, and they cooked us a traditional curry which was served on the beach to us. Quiet end of Dikewella beach which we loved. Location was great as we could walk easily into town along the beach. Thank you all.

Speisen und Getränke sehr teurer. Circa 50 Prozent mehr wie im benachbarten 4 Sterne Ressort!

The staff here are literally the best. They will really go out of their way to help you with anything. They are also extremely interactive, curious about every guest. The hotel itself has everything you need for a stay at the beach. Private sun beds in the garden and on the beach are a real plus.

We had to leave!
