Hotel Paradiso,

Great location, out of town, but within walking distance. Wonderful welcone from hotel owners. Quiet poolside, with loungers & shady trees. Airy studio room, with private balcony, nice sea view, air con & ceiling fans.

On 4th floor, no lift, but staff did carry up luggage for us.

Fantastic studio in a superb location. Fab balcony overlooking the sea in one direction and the jungle in the other. Hosts were very helpful.

Breakfasts in Sri Lanka were excellent but unfortunately the breakfasts at this hotel were basic with little choice. Disappointing.

The room and premises are beautiful, everything is clean, and the owner and staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The owner helped accommodate all our needs, including organising laundry services externally, transportation, and installing new wifi for our work calls. The room was huge and really beautiful.

I really liked the quietness of the place, the breakfast was good and the pool was never busy. Studio room had a good air conditioning and was really big.

Hotel is up the hill, so sometimes we needed to rent a tuktuk to get to it. Also towels were a little bit dirty. And we had a transparent glass door to the bathroom. It was okay because there were only too of us, me and my friend. But the hotel needs to come up with any idea of curtains because it's a little embarassing to see your friend sitting on a toilet:)

The owners of this hotel are wonderful the staff are lovely and friendly, the rooms are spacious with very comfy beds and sofas. Wi-Fi is outstanding. Swimming pool huge. Omelettes are perfect and great coffee. Monkeys can be seen in the trees from the garden and the location is perfect it sits only a short walk from jungle beach which has a great restaurant and the beach is beautiful and the village on Unawatuna with loads of amazing beach restaurants and little shops.

Absolutely nothing I didn’t want to leave and would book it again if I ever returned to Unawatuna.

Big fresh room with separate summer kitchen where you can cook. Good big bed, also we had a sofa in our room and very good bathroom. Every day we had good breakfasts with delicious coffee. Owners helped us with everything we needed. Thank them very much for their big job in this place and for friendly atmosphere. This place is settled down between 2 beaches - Unawatuna beach and Jungle beach

Spacious and clean room with beautiful furniture and a very comfortable bed. Nice bathroom with good water pressure.

There was some construction work going on that made it impossible to use our patio. We were however compensated for this inconvenience by the management.

When we were approaching the hotel by car, I was a bit afraid of its location - it seemed to be further from the ocean and Main Street than I expected. However, it later turned out as an advantage. The hotel is located away from the noise but still very close to the 2 beaches. There are plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. We had a spacious family apartment consisting of 2 bedrooms (one having a spacious living room to hang out) - and a joined balcony with kitchenette to enjoy the meal together. There was enough of hot water in both bathrooms. The staff couldn’t have been better, the owners are a lovely couple eager to answer all questions. The kids loved the spacious pool with sunbeds - and a cat they stalked around. The breakfast was very tasty, with variety of eggs and pancakes. Thank you for having us around!

The staff at breakfast failed to serve us the dishes we ordered each time out of three. Each morning there was something they mixed up - amount of portions, drink selection etc. It seemed that their English was not enough. In the rooms there are occasional spider nets. Moreover, I could not sleep well - there are dogs on the premises who are barking in the night, and the curtains are not thick enough. Though I used ear plugs and a sleeping mask, I still could not get enough rest.

Clean cozy, friendly staff. Large and clean swimming pool, well-groomed area around. Very large room with a separate exit to your patio.

There was no hot water in the evenings. At the exit from the room to the backyard, construction work was carried out, they started early in the morning and did not allow them to sleep.
