Liyanage Resort

We were welcomed by the owner and found the room comfortable. Liyange is a small hotel and provides basic accommodation. It is on a very busy road but was quiet. Access to the beach is easy with lots of good beach restaurants close by. Breakfast was good. Pool was clean and easily accessible.

The staff were friendly and the room was on the ground floor which was great for our toddler.

We booked mainly for the use of the pool knowing we wouldn't be able to swim in the ocean with our kids and because we knew it was going to be hot. However the pool had a layer of scum on the floor and on the top layer of the pool so it was not very inviting at all. Quite disappointing really. There was also a lot of clutter in the room.

La piscina estaba verde y con una ligera capa de mierda, no pudimos bañarnos y hacia mucho calor en la habitación. El personal no apareció en ningun momento Es muy caro para lo que ofrece, el alojamiento estaba vacio, eramos los unicos alojados allí y eso ya daba mala espina

Value for the money.Food is very good

Super friendly host - always smiling. Big spacious rooms and the breakfast was so filling you don’t need lunch! Short walk away from all the local amenities and the beach is only across the road

Main downfall here is the pool was not in useable condition - I know it’s off season but it really should state whether or not it’s closed before booking as this was one of the reasons we did
