Smelled, room was dirty

Der Balkon mit Blick aufs Wasser war wirklich toll. So konnte man gemütlich frühstücken.

Es gab keine richtige Küche nur Mikrowelle und Toster,der Kühlschrank hat leider auch nicht korrekt geschlossen,sodass er manchmal offen stand.

We were not given enough toilet paper. The hand basin was falling off the wall. The shower was grotty and the bed was too spongey. Lots of noise and nonsense in the immediate area too.

The location

Very poor customer service. I went to the reception and was met by I presume the bar manager, I said hello and that I had a room booked. No greeting back or hello, just a stone faced reply NAME, told her my name, No you haven’t got a booking! so I showed her my email confirmation. No your name isn’t in the book! We’ll have you another room? Yes but not at that price! Ok I’ll pay extra I said. Got a room, but the hotel is tired and needs a revamp.

Location

Sleeping above the pub and beside the toilet…..so loud music till late and then people peeing thought the night.

Great location, staff were great, food was even better. Value for money if you just need a bed.

Happy that the single room was only small, but it probably needs the curtains to be cleaned as they literally rest on your head when you sleep. There weren't any drawers, which isn't a problem, however, a couple of hooks on the door or walls to hang a jacket or two would be nice. Overall, it was really good.

Dirty, grimy room, unvacuumed floor, stains on mattress base; sullen uncommunicative staff; no response to request for proper invoice rather than eftpos receipt with GST number written on back. Dirty floors in shared bathroom. Carpet worn throughout hotel, unpleasant musty odours.

We loved the location and the veranda, overlooking the harbour. It was nice to sit out there and eat breakfast or dinner. It was convenient to have the bar downstairs. And Aurora the parrot in the bar was very entertaining.

The hotel is for sale and is badly in need of a makeover — a great opportunity for someone. The carpets are threadbare on the stairs and needed cleaning. The “kitchen” is basically a closet but the fridge and microwave worked well. No room for real cooking.

Iconic historic hotel which was clean and comfortable. Nice balcony with a view of the sea. Our room was comfortable and clean.

It was a very hot evening and although there was a fan in the room, it would have been better with an air con unit. Because of the heat, we had the window open and the punters at the bar below were pretty rowdy.
