Mangonui Hotel

This hotel is old fashioned which is fine. But it’s very tired. That said it’s very cheap. Should be perfect For backpackers as the location is very nice

Our room opening onto the verandah and the view from there and from the room. Very clean bedlinen and towels

My pet hate…no mattress protector which means potential sweat and body fluids easily pass through the sheet into the unchanged electric blanket (the hard ridges of it being annoyingly evident). A mattress protector is essential directly under the bottom sheet and should be changed after each guest. Dirty looking carpet with threadbare areas No power point in the bathroom. No hairdryer..usually a basic essential. The place is tired and tatty
