"The stay had potential, but was let down by poor organisation and weak customer service."

The room service team were the only ones who were genuinely nice and helpful. Some reception staff were fine, but one of the light-skinned women at reception gave the worst customer service.

From the start, the hotel was undergoing refurbishment, which was not mentioned on Booking.com. When I arrived, it appeared that my room had been given to another customer. The manager tried to make it seem as though I had been given a more expensive room instead, which upset me. Eventually, after waiting nearly an hour late at night following a long flight, I was given the room I originally booked. The room also had a mosquito problem and had to be fumigated. At the restaurant, staff constantly asked if my meal was for two people because I was dining alone before my son arrived. Even when I ordered two meals for guests or relatives, they questioned and sometimes refused my order. I reported this several times, and although they said they corrected it, the issue continued until I checked out. Other minor issues occurred, which I chose not to complain about. However, when I returned to use my remaining one day, the reception staff were still questioning my booking—even after I had called ahead and asked them to confirm it in their system. They only confirmed it after I contacted head office, yet I was still asked if I had a booking. When I finally received the room, it was very dusty, and I had to report the mosquito issue again. When I was leaving at 3 a.m. to catch my flight, all the staff were asleep. I called reception for over five minutes with no response; only the restaurant answered and said they would inform reception, but no one came. Since there is no lift, I went downstairs myself to inform them that I was checking out early and to request help with my luggage. I had to wake the receptionist to check out. I was also waiting for an Uber, and the gate staff were asleep as well—I had to wake them before they assisted me. The reason for this review is not to damage the hotel’s reputation but to encourage improvement. If you book for one day, you may not notice these issues; however, for longer stays—such as a week or more—the poor customer service becomes
