Poor selection for breakfast, no restaurant

Probably the most accommodating host I’ve ever met! Alex responds to messages almost instantly and is incredibly helpful—whether it’s arranging airport pickup or recommending a local tour guide, money exchange - she’s got us covered. Our flight was delayed by two days, and she kindly adjusted our check-in dates without any extra charges. The place itself is so cozy—it honestly feels like staying at a grandma’s house (in the best way!). The bed is super comfy with a proper blanket and adorable bedding. Everything was spotless. Rooms are pretty spacious. There’s also an amazing restaurant just a 10-minute walk away called O Pirata—it looks simple, but the food was absolutely incredible. And if you’re in the mood for a bit of fun, there’s an old-fashioned casino just a few minutes away.

Breakfast was good but quite limited, location is good, environment is serene.

There was a bit of a language barrier, but since everyone had a translator on their phone, communication was easier. It also seemed like cleaning had to be done at a specific time, so staying in the room during that period felt like an inconvenience. The breakfast timing wasn’t clearly communicated, so if you arrived after 9:30, you might miss out. The room itself was generally clean, but the toilet bowl had a black stain, and the bathroom tiles had some brown blotches, which made me a bit uncomfortable.

Very very clean. Well loved. Well maintained. Wonderful pool that was spotlessly clean. Very kind hosts. Excellent location for the main town.

Nice pool area and immaculate gardens. Modern room with Comfortable bed, smart TV and excellent WiFi. Simple continental breakfast was very nice. Easily walkable to City Centre and its sights. Friendly Staff

It was all good.

Well-run hotel with friendly and accommodating hosts. Uniquely in our experience of the third world (and unusual even in Europe), everything is in proper working order – good air-conditioning, excellent shower, lights and plug points all work as they should. Good breakfast, no restaurant but two good facilities within 400 metres (Papa-Figo local restaurant is deservedly popular, while Pestana hotel offers western food and snacks).

Quiet room, good bed, superb aircon, superb staff

Really comfortable property. Good value for money. Staff and owner were excellent in helping out. They even organised for a money changer to come so that we didn’t have to arrange in the street, and also proactively offered for us to keep the rooms beyond the usual check out time as they didn’t have anyone else booked in. Also one of the best breakfasts that we had in Sao Tome.

Overall I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful - it's important for non-Portuguese speakers to bear in mind that English is not widely spoken on the island but the reception staff tried their best with their English which I really appreciated (and the manager speaks excellent English and is available by whatsapp to assist with any queries). Alex the manager took the time to introduce herself to me one day when she saw me in the lobby to make sure I was satisfied with everything and to give me some tips for exploring the island, which was very nice of her. Reliable Wi-Fi and comfortable room with good air-conditioning.

Breakfast could definitely be improved. Only instant coffee is complimentary and espresso is an extra charge - it would have greatly improved the breakfast experience for me if complimentary filter or French press coffee was provided. I think the hotel should invest in better quality towels - the ones in my room seemed old and were very thin. I couldn't use the hotel bar due to people smoking as I hate the smell. Obviously this is personal preference but the hotel may get more custom in the bar if it became smoke-free (I certainly would have used it if so).
