Hotel Alexandra Loen

We had a lovely comfortable room overlooking the pool and fjord. Breakfast was excellent but as we did not eat in the hotel in the evening we were made to feel a little like second class guests and sat in different places where others had an allocated table. The restaurant offers buffet or multiple course à la carte so we chose to eat elsewhere.

The room allocated had great views of the fjords Had a great vegetarian dinner and they even went out of their way to do a vegan desert Location very central to everything

The hotel receptionist is a cheat and there is no security at all at this hotel. When we checked in there a young girl who was complaining about being alone in her room in her shower and a man opened the door twice and came in. The family was terribly upset and were ready to call the police. This was beyond shocking. After travelling across the world we have never heard of this kind of an incident and that too at a family hotel. When we checked in the lady specifically said she included the breakfast charge as it would mess up the tax calculation but if we didn’t have breakfast she would do a refund. When we checked out we were made to pay again for breakfast and the lady blatantly lied that she hadn’t said such a thing! It’s just shocking how a hotel can cheat a client this way that too for a measly amount for breakfast. We were never going to stay at this hotel because of the bad reviews we had read about this hotel and previous friend’s terrible experiences. Unfortunately due to unavoidable circumstances and being in the area we were forced to make a halt at this hotel. However being a travel agent I will surely put it on our agent group about the 2 terrible incidents that took place so at-least future clients don’t face such a situation. But everyone needs to be aware that neither are they safe and secure and neither are their belongings safe and secure at this hotel where anyone can walk into your room at anytime!

Kunne vore Norsk personal. Vanskelig å finne god alkoholholdig cocktail. Kunne vore lov å være på bading et par timer etter utsjekk :) Kunne vore større kaldt basseng ute. Kunne vore oppusset ute ved basseng, litt slitt rund om.

Beautiful location. Outdated decor. Great buffet.
