Historic Shipping Office - Akaroa

Location and space was excellent.

Didn’t have adequate cooking implements for example, no colander, grater or wooden spoon, makes cooking pasta difficult!

Lovely historic building, sympathetically restored. Great location, off-street parking, comfortable bed.

A place to store toiletries near the handbasins would be helpful.

The shipping office had a lot of charm and was centrally located. It was a bit funky, but in a good way. Lots of space to spread out and organize while on our road trip.

It was quite cold and took a while to warm up. We really wished that the fireplace was in working order (gas would work) for more immediate heat. You do feel a bit exposed, but once the curtains were closed it was better.

Great character and tons of charm.

Really cold on arrival, and it took all evening to warm up. Only one bed was made up with an electric blanket, we had to dig the other blanket out of the storage cupboard to dress the 2nd bed ourselves. No place for storing clothes in the second bedroom, not even a hook on the back of a door a hang an item.

central , private parking, easy to access with door code. so close to everything bars and cafes and the water front.
