Fare Om

I’m not sure if I liked the property at all. The road that leads to the property is bad and parking on the property itself isn’t an option. There are a lack of street lights and the rooms are full of roaches.

The property is infested with roaches. Cockroaches the size of a large rat. I did not sleep the night. The shower did not have hot water either. For a $120 room, I felt that the most basic amenities were lacking. I parked my rental car just outside the property and the lady that asked me to move my car to the nearby public parking area was rude and condescending. She stated that she saw me somewhere in public and let my car pass and that I should have stopped to thank her on the road. She said in her culture and in this country we do this, that and the other. I felt that her comments were unnecessary and uncalled for. I don’t recommend this place for any tourists from the United States. Also note, that this is a shared hostel type space so noise and privacy will be an issue for working professionals. I hope this helps!

Fare Om has a welcoming calm atmosphere.. large lounge and open plan kitchen. The staff are lovely & helpful. I think it's really good value for money & would stay again if I ever come back to Mo'orea. Just one thing not related to Fare Om but be careful as a female solo traveller.. I got harassed by some men a few times mainly around Cooks Bay area. Opunohu Bay is much nicer and I felt safer there. Anyway, the meals Maud prepares if you order them are delicious and great value. Mauruuru roa!

Very friendly staff, always clean. It was helpful to have a kitchen and plenty of fridges/food storage options. Met wonderful people while there.

The road access could be improved, lots of big potholes filled with water. Our car could get by OK, just need to know how to navigate it.

Nice atmosphere if you like to socialize and connect with people! Friendly and welcoming staff :)

In the private room the curtains only covered half of the window so there wasn’t a lot of privacy. The bathrooms weren’t clean at most times.

Friendly people, relaxed atmosphere and nice spacious room. It had clean water and good refrigeration

Could have better cups and plates. Maybe I could have been informed about how to hire a bike or a scooter as it was a long way to walk to places. The entrance can be better with the dogs put out the back

Meeting wonderful travellers. Good to have bikes to rent.

The hosts were very helpful and kind.

I thought it would be more of a cultural experince.
