Chern Chiangmai Boutique Hotel

Everything about this stay was amazing, from the quiet yet convenient location to the peaceful room. But most importantly, the staff were wonderful. It felt more like staying with friends than at a hotel, even though I booked ant the very last minute. I look forward to staying again and having more random conversations with them.

Wonderful stay with wonderful hosts. I had booked a trip to Thailand from Australia with my partner and unfortunately we broke up just before the trip and I travelled alone. Hanks and Neela ( hosts ) were so welcoming, made me feel so special and looked after, particularly after i mentioned I was travelling with a bit of a broken heart! We had some lovely enchanted in the evenings and I felt like I was in the company of friends, not hotel owners. Breakfast was simple and delicious, location was great and room comfortable. Unfortunately I had to cut my trip short as my onward flights changed, but I would definitely come back here!

Super friendly and helpful owners, very nice property. Quiet, reasonably close to Nimman district. Guests seemed just as friendly as the owners!!

The room is small, but well organized. You won't be spending much time there anyway!

Initially I had booked another hotel in old town city but the hotel cancelled on us, on the day we reached Chiangmai airport. Hence I had to rebook another hotel and I randomly booked Chern hotel and it turned out to be a very good experience. This is a family run business, by Hanks and his wife Neela, in Nimman. As old town city is flooded, some of our plans were affected as there were some places we could not visit. We asked Hanks for help and he suggested some places of interest not affected by flood. He also has 3rd party contacts to book day tours for us. Also, we wanted to go Mae Kampong on Day 4. As we were not sure of flood situation, Hanks helped to check whether it's safe to travel to Mae Kampong. I am very impressed by his service and resourcefulness. In the morning there is coffee and toast. The breakfast is simple and I like it. The coffee smells and taste very good. Tea also tastes great. Neela is usually at the breakfast table, she is always cheerful, sending happy vibes to her guests, hence we always have a good start to the day because of her. The overall design of Chern hotel lobby, is bright, spacious, artistic, cheerful. I like it as I always like bright spaces. Hotel bedroom for 2 pax is clean and big, as compared to some other hotel bedrooms, which can be quite small. The drinking water offered by Chern hotel tastes really good and clean. There are also grapes offered to us daily and they taste sweet. Chern hotel location is also near to many eating places. If you are hungry and do not want to walk far, there is a local eatery less than 5 mins walk away and the food is not bad. Chern hotel is also within walking distance to Maya mall and One Ninman shopping area.
