Lala Land Lodge

A lovely little hideaway . We stayed in a garden room which was a typical African round bungalow . The owners Frieda and Ben were very accommodating. The staff were all very kind and friendly . Brenda and Howa were exceptional. The breakfast was a Big breakfast lots of fruit followed by eggs any style you wanted ,toast , pancakes . The tea and coffee were served in cups and saucers and teapots. A turn down bed service was unexpected but a thoughtful detail along with the little treats of nuts and crisps in the room . All in all a wonderful find .

Panorama vue sur océan magnifique, jardin luxuriant, piscine confortable, accès océan par des escaliers, près d’un village de pêcheurs, chambre avec terrasse qui surplombe l’océan, personnel très accueillant et bienveillant, repas très sains et délicieux avec les produits locaux.

Staff including cooks (very good food), facilities, relaxing atmosphere ideal for disconnecting

We missed having a nearby large beach and space to go for long walks

Rundum-Sorglos-Paket! Sehr gutes Frühstück. Obstteller, Toast, Eier nach Wahl, Pancakes und eine Küchenchef-Überraschung. Die Karte zum Abendessen ist abwechslungsreich und jeden Tag gibt es noch eine Tageskarte mit ein paar zusätzlichen Gerichten. Die Zimmer waren großartig, Nachts konnte man den Geräuschen des umliegenden Waldes lauschen. Die Luft im Bungalow ist durch die Bauweise immer super frisch. Ausflüge werden vom Team nach Wunsch organisiert.

The property itself is stunning, it’s isolated and luxury, you have a choice of sea view rooms (and you are RIGHT on the sea, waking up to the sea is incredible) or bungalows which make you feel like you’re in a glam jungle - the wildlife noises are so soothing! Everything was extremely clean and the hotel staff are very thoughtful and caring, the rooms are very clean and light, fresh bedding and towels as well as slippers and robes. Tea and coffee in your room etc, and some snacks everyday (really nice snacks too). The rooms are stunning and the views are incredible, I first stayed in the sea view room, I felt like I took myself on a honeymoon. I then returned to LaLa Land after exploring more of the island and stayed in the bungalow, it was amazing. Honestly no matter what room you pick, it’s gonna be incredible. The food is also excellent, (shout out to the chef Mumma G!!!!) she is one of the best cooks I’ve come across, it’s situated in a fishing village so all the fish is freshly caught that day. I’d highly recommend fish dishes! The breakfast is insane, you get a mix of tropical fruits, coffee/tea, fresh juice, eggs/pancakes etc, honestly I’ve never been fed so well! the sunsets are incredible. Now on to the staff and Frida - OH MY GOD THEY ARE ALL ANGELS. I have made such a bond with them, they are very kind, sweet, and so so funny. As a solo traveller they took me in as their own, and I cried when I left. These girls will be in my heart forever and I am planning to return in 2026. Frida… I mean, words can’t describe how amazing she is, she’s just wonderful. Also! They are extremely knowledgeable about the area and island and PLEASE if you are going to book any excursions, do it through them. Not only is it cheaper, less busy with tourists, but you have a much better experience as the locals know where to go for starfish/monkeys/dolphins etc. they really take care of you. I needed cabs, they sorted it. I needed cigarettes, they sorted it.

El lugar es increible. No hay nada alrededor, y ese es su encanto. Las vistas de las habitaciones impresionantes. Todo super limpio y el personal un 10. Son todas muy simpaticas. Reservando en este hotel ademas ayudas a la gente de la zona y no a una gran cadena. Sin duda, el mejor hotel y zona que estuvimos de la isla. Nos organizaron el dolphin tour i el blue safari, el barco vino a buscarnos directamente al hotel y a buen precio.

No le pongo el 10 ya que creo que la comida podría mejorar un poco y estaba algo cara para la isla. Solo mejoraría un poco eso, por lo demás un 10.

Privat geführt und alle Mitarbeiter sehr freundlich und auf das Wohlbefinden der Gäste bedacht. Super toller Zimmerservice und super ruhig gelegen.

Uns hat als Familie das abgelegene nicht gefallen. Es war zu ruhig das ist aber individuell. Ansonsten ist das Essen teuer und leider nicht in ausreichenden Portionen, so dass man satt wird. Das Frühstück ist leider auch nicht sehr lecker.
