Room, and staff were nice.

We thought the hot breakfast in the restaurant was include, but were then told it was just coffee, fruit, and pastries. So, we had to buy breakfast.

"Really fit our needs staying with our 6 year old grandson"

8.0

We stayed in the Captain's Suite, which really fit our needs. The nautically themed suite includes a large living space with TV and large center table, two bedrooms, and a single bathroom, almost like a small b'n'b without a cooking kitchen (but has a small refrigerator and could easily handle bringing in food and comfortably eating in the room). This works great with our grandson or if you have kids that need a separate bedroom so that the adults don't have to turn off the lights and TV at 7:30 pm. It's a little odd that the rooms appear to be an old storefront now converted into a suite, and that the door into the suite enters directly off the street, but it all works fine. The property is older and not in perfect shape, but that's probably how most of the old hotels in Bisbee are and there was nothing detrimental to our stay. I had read reviews about noise, particularly from the music and band. We stayed over a Monday night, no band in the bar or down the street, and it was perfectly quiet, including any traffic noise from the street. Both bedrooms can be completely closed off and we slept very well. You sign in at the bar/restaurant down two doors from the Suite. We ate dinner and breakfast in the hotel/bar. The menu isn't huge but there's plenty of choices for adults and kids, and it all tasted great. The advertised continental breakfast is really bagel or pastry, and choice of fresh fruit, so we ordered off the regular breakfast menu, which worked out fine. The restaurant/bar/hotel staff was really friendly, helpful, and pleasant for everything we needed. It's conveniently located, and was a five minute walk from the Copper Queen Mine tour, so we didn't have to drive anywhere. This was a very nice stay and experience for us.

"Cleaning could have been significantly better but liked the location"

6.0

Excellent location. Staff was really nice! Food was really good and for the value the room had great space.

It was extremely dusty on the floors behind the beds, tables, fans, baseboards and headboards. There was occasional hair found on tables and traces of toilet paper on the floors. Cable didn’t work at all except for one channel.

The size of the room. And was pleasantly surprised with a jacuzzi tub

It was overpriced for 1 night stay in Bisbee.

"Tombstone is always a fun time!"

The renovated rooms are beautiful. The suite is so spacious

The new bed is very hard, I would suggest they put tissues in the rooms.

"Bisbee Grand Hotel could be a tad more "Grand""

6.0

The location of the Bisbee Grand Hotel to everything to see and do in Bisbee is exceptional. The past is very much alive and well in this hotel with tons of period architecture and a few period furnishings.

There's no on-site parking. You have to parallel park on the street, or if you are fortunate enough to find a parking spot in the free public lot across from the hotel, you can park there. Pack light! You have to truck everything you bring up n down 2 flights of stairs. There's nobody available to help with bags if you do need assistance. The air conditioning is central, and the only way to cool your room is with fans provided. There are transom windows above the room doors however a majority of these are painted shut and do not function so there's no getting cool AC into your room any more than what comes thru 2 maybe 3 vents to a suite. No in room microwaves. They do give you a mini fridge, which is great for cooling drinks. On a 3 day/2 night stay, our room got overlooked on their "daily" housekeeping claim. We had the very small cans in our bathroom and living room full, and they weren't taken out during our stay. This particular hotel could stand about $200-$300k in historical updates and renovations to make it more pleasant of a stay. The main staircase and the carpets in the common areas are dingy/dirty in dire need of a good steam cleaning or replacememt altogether. Doors leading out to 2 different public balconies/smoking areas were very tricky to open and close. None of the windows will open to provide ventilation to the overly warm rooms, as they've been painted shut. The mattress in our room was very firm. I have rheumatoid arthritis and a super firm mattress did me zero favors. All in all it's a very old, very pretty hotel that with some substantial updating could make one of the premiere places to want to stay in Bisbee. If you're looking for historical AND updated, though, you might want to look elsewhere.
