Hotell Valsaren

Very friendly and helpful man who ran the hotel. The room was very clean. A delicious breakfast was served.

The hotel is cheaper than many options in Vasteras, and although not as comfortable as a Best Western like it is also more affordable. Clean, and still a short walk to the centre of town. Free parking. So OK if you can sacrifice some of the business hotel feel and simply get a room for the night.

Breakfast used to be more plentiful, but still reasonably stocked and complemented with free sandwiches to go… Single bed was a bit soft for my liking but that May just be me… Still caught some good sleep.

Nice location for the price. Big, clean and modern bathroom. Quaint breakfast with a personal feeling. Friendly (although mostly absent) staff.

Room was too cold, I kept waking up freezing in the night. Mattress was worn down (or possibly way too soft), it felt like I was sleeping in a pit. The only desk in the room was packed with stuff (microwave oven, water heater etc) leaving no space for my own things. Lots of unused space in the room that could have had an actually usable desk or other furniture. Poor smell in the hallway.
