Casa Mia is a wonderful place that really exceeded our expectations. All the staff were so welcoming and friendly. A lot of thought has gone into the design and creating a relaxed blissful vibe perfect for unwinding and recharging the batteries. It is really well located on the edge of town and just steps from a beautiful quiet stretch of beach. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. We enjoyed a really lovely reasonably priced lunch one of the days too. Marco and his dedicated team of local staff have created something really special in Casa Mia. El Cuyo was our favourite place in Mexcio on our 3.5 week trip and we hope to return before long. We definitely plan to stay at Casa Mia again when we do!

Highly recommend this delightful, small hotel. You feel part of "the family". It is run by a lovely couple who clearly have a great bond with all their staff. It has a relaxed, very beachy vibe, and the upstairs rooms have beautiful views, but we recommend a ground floor room if you have small children or dogs. We needed a vet during our stay and the owner was extremely helpful and found us the kindest, attentive vet we have ever met. Not many hotels in the area allow dogs, which is why we chose this one.

Casa Mia was beautiful and the staff were remarkable. It was an amazing place to visit. We spent 4 days in El Cuyo, working with Extreme Control, the kite boarding company on the premises. We also spent a couple of days on the beaches which was truly pristine. Additionally, we went kayaking in the reserve, saw lots of pink flamingoes, and had some great food at several of the restaurants in the area. I would highly recommend Casa Mia if you are looking for a smaller community, significantly less traditional tourist traffic, and a desire to decompress.
