Newa Chen Historic House UNESCO

Amazing location, so close to Durbar Square of Patan. It's literally a straight line walk along the road outside the entrance. Heritage house is very authentic and charming.

Low ceiling will make it hard for anyone taller than me. I am short at 5'8 and my head was at the ceiling and I was constantly ducking or bowing.

The atmosphere of a superbly restored historic property. Rooms were intimate and bathroom renovations were tasteful and of a good standard. Staff friendly and helpful . Garden and courtyard was beautiful.

I loved the authenticity of the structure and setting. It deserves the historical designation that it has received. The staff went out of their way to be accommodating to our needs. Newa Chen seved us as a place to rest and recuperate from our trip to Mustang.

The beds are a bit low to the floor...authentic, but somewhat difficult for me to get out of bed.

This is a beautiful property and breakfast was good and very pleasant to have in the courtyard.

The room is very modern, so it wasn't the same old historic feel that I got in other hotels in the older parts of town.

I loved how quiet, clean and authentic this lovely guest house was, perfect for my first stay in Patan. My room had clearly been recently refurbished so it felt extra comfortable. The bathroom was modern and spotless. It took a while to get used to the low ceilings - tall people beware! The property is very close to the main attractions in Patan - perfect for popping back for a rest during the day.

Outstanding stay in a lovingly restored property in the heart of traditional Patan. The kindness, friendliness and helpfulness of the staff was outstanding. A highly recommend place to stay
