Palau Paradise Comfort

This is a local family owned hotel—nothing fancy but it’s got the basics—is as advertised. On the main road but quiet at night, Chinese restaurant downstairs, short walk to main shopping area. It’s a walk-up. Full kitchen in the room. Owner arranged free lift to my next hotel! Palau is so friendly :-)

Centrally located. The host Stephanie was extremely nice and helpful to book diving sessions and in other little things. She is a star!

Location

No front desk, she forgot I was coming and I couldn’t get into the place. No wifi listed so had to have a stranger call. No communication saying what room I was in so had to rely on strangers to figure out how to get me in.

Steph is a great host. Very helpful and professional. The facilities were all as advertised. Great location: 10+ minutes from the main shops and similar to Rock Island, the nearest place for a swim.

Good value as Palau is very expensive, breakfast delivered each morning from the restaurant downstairs, can walk to shops. Stephanie was awesome and so helpful. She immediately assists with any requests.

My room had a door to an adjoining room and there was no sound proofing. Not a problem most of the time but could be an issue with noisy neighbours.

Good location and WiFi. Spacious room with good aircon. Excellent communication. Steph was very helpful with the information and advice. Breakfast comes in the form of a bento box from the King Palace restaurant downstairs and there is plenty of choice to choose from. Parking available.

Suitable accommodation in a walkable location in Koror. The room is large and has an equipped kitchen. The shower allowed to set the temperature to your preference. The night before we arrived, a pipe on the island broke and Stephanie went above and beyond to make sure that water tanks were in each room. She also had a good suggestion with renting a car because airport transfer is island-wide a 30$ per person rate. The bento boxes for breakfast were unusual, but of good quality.

The provided wifi network was slow. Stephanie gave me a second network which was faster but with the drawback of a weaker connection. Everywhere else on the island (restaurants, the mall) wifi was much better, so it should be possible to set up a decent connection.

The owner of this accommodation is so incredibly helpful. She really goes above and beyond. When I was struggling to get a taxii to the airport for 2am, she offered to drive me herself. She gave me suggestions where to visit and contacted the flight company for me. Breakfast has 14 choices and the food is fabulous. Large rooms with everything you could want. Excellent location too.
