Hostal Del Jaguar

I love how quiet it is when it comes to staff intromission, I mean, one can see their job is done in an excellent manner, yet you never see them, but they seem to appear only when you need them. BLISS! The whole place is meticulously maintained and clean. It helps that it seems to be a relatively new building. The location is great for "Tulum Pueblo". Good restaurant attached, same staff, very nice all of them. Good WiFi nice back patio / garden. Awesome co-working space.

The beds were comfortable and I really liked the curtains. The lockers were spacious. We had the room to ourselves almost the entire time. It’s great that there are two bathrooms in the room.

Sometimes it was hard to open the front door. The hostel is really far from the beach but you can rent a bike and be there in no time. Tulum overall is very expensive.

This hostel was simple but had all that we needed. Safe location, quiet night and lovely nature feel about the place. I was also able to walk to the grocery store which was very convenient.

Be aware the floors are only accessible by stairs. We didn’t mind being on the third floor, but I thought I would pass that along.

Great spot for spending the night. Super close to the beach and historical zone. Kudos!

The location and the privacy

The room is very hot and they only turn on the ac from 8pm to 8 or 10 am ( you have to keep asking them to turn it on)beside those hours you can’t sit in the room

Possibly cheapest hostel in Tulum and location is pretty decent so can’t complain really! And the curtains on the bed are great but necessary in such a big room. Plugs in the lockers a nice touch

Check in/out took unnecessarily long, you need to do it inside the restaurant which isn’t clear. I was kept for ages whilst they did other admin, other hostels have a much smoother process. The code on the door changes every day/2 days which is annoying. Lots and lots of rules. As it’s festival season people are coming in late and being annoying, but to be expected with such a big room. Bathrooms can get gross but to be expected with so many people
