The Pavillon by The Pace Phuket Boutique Resort

Total honesty! I did not stay here. I wanted a quiet room to work and sleep, and to be able to walk to food outlets. The room I was shown was not the room I saw on the pictures. The room on the picture was light, had a sliding door and trees outside. It was on the ground floor The place was described as a quiet resort. Which may be true if you get one of the ground floor rooms at the back. The room I was shown was on a third floor, it was dark and close to the road. The road was noisy with motorbikes revving and traffic generally. There was no-one on reception when I arrived. There was one very unhappy man sitting on his balcony facing the path near the opening to the road. I asked him if he knew where I could find help and he shrugged. I found a cleaner who tried to help.The owner was not answering his phone and when I wrote to ask questions sent a generic welcome message. The cleaner told me to park my car out on the road where there was no space to park (one lane road with no side space) I decided not to stay and eventually spoke to the owner before I left who agreed that I could pay the first night and they would refund the next 3 nights and I would not complain. He told me to speak to his manager. I went the next day. The manager was not there. I went again the next day. She was not on the desk but I found her in the kitchen. She knew nothing so she called the owner who I was told was on holiday in Samui (this is the middle of high season) and then told me that he said I had a non refundable deal so no refund. I don't dispute that and I wrote to Booking.com about it who have been non responsive. He should have said this on the first night, But he didn't so clearly was not aware. I can't comment on anything else as I decided not to stay but this was my experience and I am glad that I was able to find another, genuinely quiet and friendly place.

La piscine

Pas d’explication de fonctionnement. Pas de changement de serviettes, poubelle etc, nous avons appris par des clients qu’il faut le demander. Salle de bain un peu vétuste, un gobelet pour 2, le lavabo à hauteur d’enfant. Chambre proche de l’entrée bruyante et à côté de la route et du stationnement des scooters.

La piscine , l’emplacement géographique .

La clim super bruyante et très vieille , idem pour la chambre côté route. Tout date des années 80 . Le gérant belge a eu pour seule réponse à mon problème de clim et après l’avoir interpellé sur l’hygiène douteuse de la chambre: “ c’est le standard Thaï!!! Si vous voulez, payez vous un 5 étoiles vous n’aurez jamais ce prix en cette saison à Phuket (456 pour 5 nuits) ". Hey l’ami c’est fini le baba cool des années 80 , laisses tomber le métier et donnes ton business à des Thaïs ou Chinois ou autres .. . Dommages pas possible de publier des vidéos pour le son de la clim!!

les matelas trop durs

It quickly felt like home. Great pool area. I had the budget room and the bed is a stiff ”thai style” bed. Not stiffer than normal. I was very relaxed at this resort, the staff and the vibe made every day feel good. My month in Rawai was great and this place is a gem to me.
