Sahari Zanzibar

My favorite hotel in the island. Beautiful space, beautiful Long Beach, great location to access other areas, and the staff is wonderful. The cats are the cutest, and the pool and garden are very well kept. Love it!

As instalações precisam de ser melhoradas , as fichas para carregar os equipamentos ou não funcionam ou estão partidas . Não há shampoo ou amenidades . Precisam de mais roupa na cama um lençol e manta só não chega . A piscina precisa de melhor manutenção pois estava cheia de folhas e insectos. Vejo degradação de um ano para o outro …

Superbe établissement. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour avec ma compagne. L’hôtel est magnifique. La piscine est vraiment très belle un vrai havre de paix. Le personnel est très à l’écoute et toujours souriant c’est merveilleux. Nous avions pris une chambre vue sur mer et elle était magnifique. Nous avons vraiment aimé notre séjour à cet hôtel ! Et le petit déjeuner était succulent. Nous nous sommes régalés.

From the moment we arrived, we received a warm welcome with smiles from Cristina, who couldn’t do enough for us. The room was lovely and spacious, all facilities were clean. Food menu was varied and delicious. The breakfast is a stand out from anywhere else I’ve stayed! Cristina also managed to let us have a late check out which was great, as we had a later flight! Thank you so much Sahari, we will be back!

From the moment we arrived at Sahari Hotel, we were greeted with the warmest smiles from the entire staff, instantly making us feel at home. This place truly feels like a little piece of heaven tucked away in a charming village. The design, décor, and outdoor areas are absolutely outstanding and of the highest standard. We stayed in a beautiful bungalow right in front of the pool, which felt like a dream come true. The beachfront location couldn’t be more perfect—just steps from the ocean, and you can easily walk along the beach to nearby villages and restaurants. The food at the hotel was delicious and fresh, and every meal was a treat. What truly makes Sahari special, though, is the staff. They are incredibly kind, always ready to help at any moment, and greet you with the biggest, most genuine smiles. They really make the whole experience unforgettable. The only small downside was not having a refrigerator in the room, but honestly, everything else was beyond perfect. We had the best time and can’t wait to come back!

A fantastic, quiet, calm resort to stay at, we loved our week at Sahari. The staff were truly wonderful, so friendly and helpful. The pool is an incredible oasis, well shaded, and protected from the wind. It actually looks exactly like the photos. We spent many hours happily on loungers and as it is a small resort we never had any issues getting loungers. I had three massages while there and the two from Julia in particular were outstanding. Also incredible value at $40USD. The food was good, our friends did the Swahili cooking class and loved it, and made some great food. We liked that the breakfast was a la carte, the juice was delicious. They helped us organize kite surfing with an outfit just down the beach which were great. I was worried about the beach/tides before coming as I struggled to find information but we were easily able to swim in the ocean multiple times a day. When we first got there low tide was the middle of the day so we would swim in the morning and then the late afternoon when the water was super warm. Over the course of the week the tides moved so we were swimming in the ocean in the middle of the day. We didn’t use any water shoes to swim, the first part is sandy so unless you get unlucky with a sharp shell it’s fine unless you want to go further out. The beach has a little trash on it but the area in front of the resort was clean. There was also a bit of seaweed around at the water edge but nothing that made swimming unpleasant. The yoga space was great for doing some gentle workouts in the morning, they have a handful of yoga mats. We did one of the yoga classes ($17USD) and it was ok, the teacher was a substitute not the normal one and I’m not sure if she had done much teaching recently? If you want a bit more activity or energy Paje is an easy 20-30 mins walk away down the beach but we found Sahari to be a perfect spot to relax and unwind after a busy week on safari!

I would probably have paid more for the upstairs rooms in hindsight, they appeared to have a little better natural light (although our friends who also had a garden room weren’t worried about it).

Great space, staff and quiet location to relax.
