Cat Ba Rustic Homestay

Ling, who is the main communicator, is a lovely woman who went out of her way to be helpful, especially after I got food poisoning on a cruise. Her husband and two beautiful boys were a delight to be around. They shared family food at no charge and were sincerely concerned about my well being. All the facilities were clean and functional. The only issue was the proximity to a busy road, but the noise died after 10pm. Price was very good. I would not hesitate to recommend a stay at this location.

Lovely little home stay on the out skirts of Cat Ba. Our host Lyn was great, excellent English, gave us good advice on trips and booked them up for us. Beautiful family and great service on all parts including motorbike hire and laundry 😁

We had such a good time here! The owner really is the sweetest person. It is a bit away from the center but you can easily get a grab or the local taxis. Our bungalow was really clean and super cute.

Linh was amazing, she helped us out by planning some really nice activities. Breakfast was very good, clean rooms and soft blankets. We loved our stay here and would definitely recommend this place to couples or friends who travel together.

Linh makes this place. She is great, very knowledgeable, and very helpful. I can’t believe this place isn’t more crowded.

The location is a ways from town, so you will likely end up commuting back and forth for food and activities. It’s about 15 minutes each way. There are buses and Linh had scooters we rented for very cheap.

Lovely host, she spoke good English, the breakfast was very good, mango and banana pancakes were amazing! The host organized bus for us and also helped us later on. Homestay is not in Cat Ba town, which is advantage because it is more relaxed area. With bar and restaurant across the street. But you can also eat in homestay. Rustic cabins look very lovely, also with a pool (but sadly water was too cold for swimming :(, in the summer must be good). Our window looked at the field with buffalos, which was very nice. We would stay here again!

Location is next to the main street, so there is traffic during the day, but at night is chill, we slept good. The water in the shower was not hot, not even warm, more like luke warm.

Loved the property! The bungalows were super cute and the outdoor dining area was lovely. Linh supplied everything we needed and if we ever needed anything additional she was always happy to supply it.

Linh is such a nice person and she organised everything for us - day crusies, taxis, buses to/from Hanoi, scooter rental. She clearly likes to take care of her guests and is really friendly and kind. The place itself was peaceful and really comfortable. Cat Ba Island is gorgeous!
