Hotel San Ramon

We visited Bisbee for a quick trip, staying only one night which limited our options. We chose this hotel because it was over a Mexican restaurant, promised fresh roasted coffee and free parking. When we arrived, we followed the instructions on the door to contact the manager for help with checking in, texting the two non-emergency numbers listed. She never responded. A woman in the cafe that is now below the hotel - not the Mexican restaurant mentioned - had the code to the main door but couldn't assist with our room check in. She also reached out to the manager. After sitting in the small lobby for 15 minutes with no response to our texts, two men with a ladder came in to work on the AC in the roof. When they were done, we chatted with the lead guy whose name was Ron. We explained that we were still waiting to hear from the manager about our room. He reached out to her assistant, Jen, who arrived within 10 minutes. Jen texted us the codes for the main door and our room, confirmed our reservation and showed us how to use the coded lock to enter our room. As she keyed in the code, we all heard someone cough inside the room! After no response from the person in the room to repeated knocking, Jen reached out to the elusive manager for instructions. We were placed in a different room that had a physical key in addition to the coded lock. Jen had commented that they were fully booked so we were thankful to get a room. Around 8 pm that evening, however, the couple who had been assigned the room we were now occupying showed up and tried to enter using the code. They were understandably distraught to find us in what should have been their room! I explained the situation and reached out to Jen who told me to give them her number and she would take care of it. We are so grateful for the help we received from the woman in the cafe, from Ron, and especially the from amazing Jen! They were truly the only bright notes in this experience. After we left, I texted the two numbers once more to ask the manager for an explanation or an apology for what had happened and some assurance that this would not happen to some other traveler. We have never heard from the manager, which we find disturbing. Hotels are in the hospitality business, and at a minimum the manager should be available. As a side note, the description of the hotel was inaccurate. The free parking was city parking and was around the corner about 5 minutes walk away. The Mexican restaurant no longer exists and the only coffee available was a Keurig machine in the room. If we could do it over again there is no way we would have stayed here.

Great value, clean spacious room, and excellent location that is close to everything in Bisbee.

The stairs leading up to the rooms are very creaky and since our room was next the stairs, it was quite noisy as other guests enter or exit. Maybe replace the planks on the wooden stairs and add padding or carpeting to mute the noise. The bathroom fan in our room (El Gallo) was very loud, it was as if we were turning on a giant blender, perhaps a little WD40 would help with the fan. Neither issue was major but it could use a little maintenance.

Location was ideal. The apartment was comfortable and spacious. Perfect place for a weekend get away.

It was perfect. No need to change.

This is just an adorable boutique hotel! The amenities were great and the owner was fantastic!

It was extremely loud and noisy all night long! You could hear all the laugh and partying in the room from the street!
