Villa Escondida

The two bedroom bungalow had a full kitchen and 2 bathrooms. Very quiet location close to beach and town with no barking dogs. A ceiling fan and stand fan was available. The pool was right outside our unit, which was nice.

It was just about clean enough. Everything could use a little updating, especially the kitchen and bathrooms. Perhaps a good scrubbing of the sink and tiles etc would help. The pool looked a bit dirty but only because it could use a new coat of paint. The outdoor seating area could use some comfortable seating instead of the dirty plastic green chairs. It was a bit disappointing not to have anything comfortable to sit in for any length of time. Dish soap in the kitchen would be nice. A young fellow, ( staff or family member?) lives in the unit next door and likes to have his friends over to watch soccer in the afternoons. Not too bad but a little noisy during siesta time.

Lovely tranquil gardens to escape to in the heat of the day and super quick walk to the beach. The staff were very friendly. Our terrace felt very private.

Having the kitchen separate to the room was a bit awkward. Also just be aware that the sound from other terraces travels easily.

Incredible views

It's hot at night, buy a box fan in town.

Beautifull flowers, plants, accomodation, view and the people working there are amazingly friendly and the room was nice.

There were dogs and roosters that made a lot of noise during the night (could here them through my earplugs).

Pet friendly which was great. Cleaners were attentive and friendly. The terrace with hammocks and ocean view was lovely to relax on. Room had a water garrafón and refrigerator which was helpful. 5 mins walk to beach.

Be prepared for wildlife because of the area. A little creature raided the cabaña every night and chomped its way through our dog food. It’s noises in the thatched roof keep me awake some times…

The family that run this property are absolutely lovely. The grounds of this property are very cute. The food was lovely. They do have a pool, although you have to leave the premises and enter the other side. This property is only a five minute walk from the beach.

Even though they use Starlink Internet, they had multiple different Starlink networks. And the Internet in my room did not seem to be very strong on either of them and often would disconnect and reconnect repeatedly. I have used other Starlink connections in Zipolite and I found them to be a faster connection and more stable Even though my room had a ceiling fan, it was not properly, mounted to the ceiling and so it's squeaked every time I had the fan on. The room had a desk and chair Unfortunately, my room did not have air conditioning and so in the day, when the room became hot. I wasn't able to work. Having a small mini fridge would be a great place to store snacks and drinks

Overall, it was a good place to stay.

There was no hot water, even after they made numerous attempts to remedy it.

The gardens and the view from the loft in the first villa we stayed in. The second booking was over a workshop that ran saws most of the day, but the unit was larger with a separate kitchen and shower.

The fact that we had a Rat in the first bungalow (not a mouse). Very hot and the water pressure was negligible . In the second bungalow, it was noisy and the WiFi barely worked.
