Villa Escondida

Villa escondido has some real character. Our apartment deck on the second floor had the best views of the sunset!

If you can't do stairs this is not the place for you. We managed just fine. Grateful to staff for helping me with my heavy cumbersome bag.

View, trees and flowers, room decoration, verandahs, comfortable bed with mosquito net. Staff. Hammocks, proximity to beach. Away from main road. Car parking. Service staff. Fridge.

Barking dogs, day and night. No aircon made it hot at times. WiFi not good in king room. Cockroach in our shower. Steep walk up steps for luggage to room

Warm and welcoming place in Zipolite with a very homey feel. The place was exactly as advertised. It's a family run business where everybody takes exceptional care. They cleaned our room every day and you can order a home-cooked breakfast. Even though this place is not beachfront, we were lucky to have a bungalow with a view of the sea. It's close to Playa del Amor and many nice restaurants and bars. There are yoga classes across the street and they are very happy organizing excursions for you: we went on a boat tour to watch dolphins and whales! We will definitely return here.

For us this was the perfect stay and we liked it all. For people with mobility issues the walk might pose a problem. They have friendly cats and dogs which was an added bonus for us, but might not be for all.

The bungalow next to us had a heavy smoker and was coughing very loud. We had problems with second hand smoke every day. The 3 dogs were pretty noisy even at night. Dog feaces were everywhere in our little front garden.

Great location, not far from the beach. Rooms were big and clean, with a balcony with hammocks and a good view.

No air conditioning and it was extremely hot when we stayed - although there were fans which helped a bit.

The kitchen was a little ill-equipped, 100 pots and pans but no kettle, etc. Really don’t like the scented toilet paper

I loved this accomodation. They provide, good and good priced, breakfast within the property. They have animals (dogs and cats) and the garden is lovely and very green. For those looking for a perfect stay near towns and beaches but also where you can just a spend a day within the property, this one is perfect.

The walk from town to the hotel is very short (not even 10 minutes) but it goes a few metres through a street that has no light and surrounded by plants. It could feel a bit scary for those afraid of the dark.
