At Gate Thaphae Hotel

Lovely hotel. Great location. Nice and spacious rooms with beautiful woodwork details and traditional Thai wall decorations. Great price for value. The staff were super sweet and helpful, even if there was a language barrier. Leo/Leon was especially sweet and helpful. He aided us in several things from booking activities to drivers/transport solutions.

A very authentic thai style hotel nestled on a small Soi (Alley). The rooms are genuinely nice. The courtyard is beautiful designed. The hotel is only a few minutes walking distance away to the central district where you find all kinds of souvenirs-, clothes- and handicraft shops including plenty of food stalls. The good thing is, that it is quiet at the hotel although it is near to the night live scene. There is car parking but limited.

The breakfast was okay, but nothing special and a bit expensive given the level of quality. The only other issue we had with the room was that the hot water for showers or baths was very inconsistent. Most of the time, the water was chilly. If you left it on for about 7-8 minutes, it would eventually warm up.

The location, staff, breakfast and room were all amazing.

Location is good, few minutes walk to Tha Phae Gate. Plentiful of restaurants & cafes around the area & thru Tha Phae Gate Room is spacious & clean

Nothing of concern

Location was just 2 mins walk to Thapae Gate. Very close to restaurants, shops, etc. Basically hotel is in the heart of the old city but yet very cleverly hidden behind the main road. Very quiet at night. Breakfast was delicious

Breakfast - should have more choices instead of just 3 main variations. On the 4th day, my family got a little tired of the same menu.

Comfortable beds, large rooms, nice shower, good wifi

Other guests - can't blame the hotel but door slammers and groups checking out early making lots of noise in the courtyard - simply inconsiderate. Thai staff too polite to say anything to them.

The location was excellent, easy to get to the old city and the river. The staff were helpful.
