Thames Tara Private Pool Villa Rawai Phuket

Staff were nice. Cleaners came and cleaned room everyday. Place was clean.

1) Location is terrible, ruined our holiday. On site mini mart that they advertise is basic, doesn't even have milk. The nearest convenience store is about 20 minutes walk which is difficult in the scorching hot sun and even worse if u have kids. 2) it wasn't easy to get a grab taxi because there were never any drivers available in that area, unless you paid for a premium service which then becomes expensive because you have to take a grab taxi where ever u go from this location. 3) the owners say there's 100s of nearby cafes and restaurants... that's misleading... there are not 100s you literally have to take a grab taxi to go anywhere decent. 4) they told us to keep doors closed at all times to prevent mosquito entry but the doors in the conservatory dining area were faulty and never fully closed so mosquitos kept coming in 5) they advertise the rooms as double or queen or king. But in fact, they just join single beds together which means the sleep is uncomfortable when you sleep over the partition of the beds 6) they advertise the property as 5 star and this is a big misrepresentation. The property had mould. Ceilings had signs of damp and patch ups, there was always water leaking by the toilet, the ac was very dirty and blew out dust when switched on. Also you couldn't see the temp on ac clearly as it was faded out. Also it didn't always seem to be on the correct temp. 7. They advertise the swimming pool for all ages, this is not true .... it's too deep for toddlers 8. Swimming pool was always full of bugs I don't think they manage the pool water. There is no bathtub just showers. This definitely was not a 5 star stay. 9. The place is OK but I don't think it's worth how much they charge for it, for the same amount of money we could have got a nice place with breakfast included on a beach with closeby shops etc and giod aesthetic decor...no broken ceilings ir patchups.

Sentiment mitigé...nous avons dû changer de villa...la premiere villa aurait besoin d'un bon rafraîchissement...la deuxieme avait un sol en pente tout autour de la piscine, devenant dangereux mouillé car tres glissant...sans parler des fourmies presente partout jusque dans les valises ! Le calme est appréciable et le menage chaque jour fait par un personnel très gentil, mais le rapport qualité/ prix n'est vraiment pas à la hauteur.

The pool and the roomes

A bit excentred which implies taxi/grabs not very willing to pick you back for the way back (for big group >5). If you rent a car or a driver it is a really good accommodation.
